We are looking at addressing issues of inequalities in health access for our antenatal and postnatal services.

We will be holding an event on 13 September in Reading and we really want to listen to the views of service users who have the following characteristics as defined by the Equality Act 2010:

- Part of the global majority
- Have a disability
- Or identifies as LGBTQIA+

The Local Maternity and Neonatal System are providing support for the day and will be able to offer attendees £75 for reimbursement of time.

If you are in the area and would like to come and see us, our Meet PEET team will be at the Sun Street Community Centre this Thursday 9th March, between 2pm-5pm offering free mini-health checks.

The checks cover: blood pressure, blood sugar, height, weight and BMI (body mass index). And we are also offering a drop-in for Covid vaccinations for children aged 5-11 years old.

We all need to be in this together! You never know when a friend, sister, work colleague, neighbour may mention to you 'Oooh I haven't felt my baby move as much'. So we need EVERYONE to know how important movements are. Any concerns, Maternity Units are always open, day and night.
