With Manual Lymph Drainage Therapy, Nicola helps people to manage swelling in their body, caused by an impairment or overloading (post surgery) of the lymphatic system. There is a little known specialist form of massage for the lymphatic system called MLD (Manual Lymph Drainage). This massage, in particular, excels in this respect by being both incredibly relaxing and playing an important part in the body's immune response, amongst many other things. I would love to be able to talk through your goals and/or health issues with you, during a personal consultation, and for us to make a mutual decision on how we move forward to best enable you to reach your optimum sense of health and well being. With qualifications up to the highest level in the Vodder method of MLD, and regular updates in the Foeldi method, I am well qualified to deal with any issues you may have. I also have over 4 years experience working at the Oxford Lymphoedema Clinic, alongside the nurses there. With Vodder, Foeldi and LTA Fill and Flush training, I can tick three of the four.
It's always been important to me to have the proper qualifications, staying up-to-date and being registered with a governing body that holds me and others accountable. This helps keep the standards high and, most importantly, keeps patients safe.

MLDUK believes that to ensure that the highest standards of Manual Lymphatic Drainage are maintained, practice should be confined to those who have undertaken, or who are undertaking, training through these four schools or their accredited teachers.

Yay, my new air conditioning unit was delivered yesterday. The old one was not coping anymore.

Client comfort is, of course, important, but it's about more than that.

Correct Manual Lymph Drainage should not be done with oil.

This means the temperature must be right. Clammy skin (and clammy hands) means I can't move my hands on the skin properly. If I'm using deep oscillation, the contact is broken and it doesn't work.

However, that's now not an issue, as the room is just the right temperature. 👌
