28 years old vs 43 years old. These photos are 15 years apart. Yes we can see some ‘improvements’ possibly but what is important is not ‘ruining’ yourself for the stage. Be careful what you do as it catches up with you. Long term androgen use will cause virilisation over time, extreme dieting & abuse will affect you on a systemic level. It is important to stay healthy, know your limits, have correct guidance, keep an eye on your blood work and hormones.

When we used to be the only bikini team in UK. has been coaching for 15 years. What does it mean? It means you are not a guinea pig. We have experience. We have tried and tested methods, we have used every diet style possible, we learnt from mistakes and experienced many many ‘case studies’, health conditions, mental disorders, hormonal imbalances. We have competed natural shows and non tested shows and know the difference in approach. We do not ONLY care about results at all costs on stage, pushing you for a plastic trophy. We have seen competitors, styles, federations, coaches & coaching teams come and go. Whilst we are a competition team, we are still heavily focussed on health and longevity. Anyone can get you ready for one show or even two or three but life long changes take a different approach and some consideration for health. If you want to compete in the healthiest way you can or are experiencing health conditions you would like help with please do get in touch.

POST SHOW, NOW WHAT?

You might be asking yourself what is ‘normal’ and what is not now that
you are post show. There are some common things you DON’T have to put up with…

🚩Excess Weight gain
We cannot stay stage lean all year but massive increases in weight in short periods of time are not normal. Extreme calories shifts (extreme lean down) can slow your metabolism and actively disrupt your thyroid function which will slow your metabolic rate, if your coach had your on
extremely low calories (often unnecessarily) loads of cardio & excessive steps, your body will go into starvation / protection mode and it will be easier to gain weight post show even of you are being sensible. Post show calories must be reversed up with well rounded nutrition to reach a maintenance point.
Putting on lots of body fat does NOT help you build muscle, in fact it might hinder it as it sends your hormones out of whack if they are not already. You do not need to be ‘fat’ and unhappy post show.

🚩Hormonal imbalances
Extreme dieting can and will lead to hormonal imbalances. If your prep
caused too much stress to your body or your diet contained hardly any fats you may find your body just cannot synthesise the hormones it needs to function. Post show this can leave your metabolism low and you feeling depressed. This can affect your thyroid and even your testosterone making if more difficult to build muscle. If any PED’s were used proper management and tapering must be employed.

🚩Rigid meal plans
Set meal plans year round don’t work. It might work in ‘prep’ but it’s not possible to follow a rigid meal plan for the rest of your life. Extremely rigid meal plans encourage disordered eating patterns. Post show if you are left wondering what to do, you probably need to switch to a flexible
approach

✨What do do now?
If you want a better post show expierence and a good start to improvement season, make sure your coach doesn’t ‘run you into the ground’ during the lean down. No one should be on extreme prep 11 months straight, no off plan meals, low calories and loads of output. Your body won’t thank you.
