Do you notice how quickly we move away from uncomfortable feelings?

🌿 Vegan vs. Marine/Bovine Collagen

I’ve shared a few posts recently about collagen supplements, and another question I’ve been asked is why I don’t use a vegan collagen supplement, especially since I try to make conscious, ethical choices wherever I can. The truth is, after going into early menopause, I had to look at what actually worked best for my body.

Here’s what I’ve learned 👇

💚 Vegan Collagen (or Collagen Boosters)
Pros:
• 100% plant-based and cruelty-free 🌱
• Packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that support your body’s natural collagen production
• A great option if you’re vegan or prefer not to use animal-derived products

Cons:
• There’s currently no true vegan collagen, most are “collagen boosters” that help your body make its own
• Results can vary, especially if your natural collagen production has slowed (e.g. through menopause or ageing)

✨ My take:
Im not vegetarian / vegan but for various ethical reasons, I wanted to choose a vegan collagen supplement. In the end, I chose a blend of marine and bovine collagen because it simply worked best for me. Sometimes, the best choice is about balance, listening to your body while staying true to your values wherever you can.

After my recent post about collagen and how to choose a good one, I had quite a few of you ask what I use myself! 🫶

Just to be clear, Im not affiliated with any specific brand, and there definately isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to supplements. What’s most important is finding one that fits your needs, preferences and lifestyle.
