✨ Christmas Memorial Service – Remembering a Loved One at Christmas ✨

📅 Date: Sunday, 7th December 2025
⏰ Time: 11:00 AM
📍 Location: Trehafod Community Village Hall

Tomorrow, we’ll come together in a gentle, safe space to remember and reflect on loved ones who are no longer with us.

This service is a chance to pause, honour their memory, and feel their presence in the small moments and traditions that stay with us. Everyone is welcome, whatever your beliefs or experiences — whether we’ve worked together before or this is your first time joining me.

Through quiet reflection, music, and the symbolic hanging of decorations on our memorial tree, we’ll celebrate the lives and love of those we hold in our hearts.

🕯️ Love lives on.
Memories matter.
And you are not alone.

✨ Christmas Memorial Service – Remembering a Loved One at Christmas ✨

Just a gentle reminder about my Christmas Memorial Service – Remembering a Loved One at Christmas.

This time of year can feel especially heavy when someone we love is no longer with us. This service offers a calm, comforting space for anyone who would like to pause, reflect, and honour a loved one. You are welcome whether you’re remembering a parent, partner, child, grandparent, friend — or anyone special to you.

Together, we’ll take time to hang a remembrance decoration, and acknowledge those we miss. It’s a warm, gentle space to share a moment of peace and connection.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them 🖤

Today I had the absolute honour of leading the Remembrance Service for the Llanharry Community Council.

It was a privilege to stand alongside the community as we paused together to reflect, remember, and give thanks to those who gave so much — and to those who continue to serve today. There was such a powerful sense of unity and gratitude as we gathered to honour the courage and sacrifice of so many.

A heartfelt thank you to Llanharry Community Council for inviting me to be part of such a meaningful occasion. It truly was an honour to lead this service and to share in a moment of remembrance that means so much to so many.

Moments like these remind us of the strength of community, the importance of reflection, and the enduring power of remembrance. 🌺

🌟 Remembering Loved Ones at Christmas 🌟
The festive season can be a beautiful yet emotional time — a time filled with memories of those we wish were still here to share it with us.
Join us for a gentle morning of reflection, comfort, and togetherness as we come together to remember our loved ones — whether their loss was recent or many years ago. 💛
🕯 Remembering Loved Ones at Christmas
📅 Sunday 7th December
⏰ 11:00 AM
📍 Trehafod Community Village Hall
There will be an opportunity to write a message or name on a memory tag to hang on our memorial trees — a simple and meaningful way to honour those who hold a special place in our hearts.
All are welcome — you don’t have to have used my services, and you’re welcome to come alone, with friends, or with family. Let’s take a moment to pause, reflect, and remember together this Christmas season. ✨

It’s been a little quiet here, hasn’t it? Life sometimes asks us to pause, and that’s exactly what I’ve needed recently.

Gray Memories is still very much here, and so am I — ready to share, connect, and keep building this space with you. Thank you for being here, even through the quiet moments. Your support means more than I can say 🖤

Poems are used in a service to help with putting things into words when you can't do so yourself.

There are a huge amount poems out there to use, sometimes I like to use them to help the service transition one part to another smoothly.

People often ask me to suggest poems, and I won't suggest any until I know more about your loved ones so I can try and suggest the more appropriate ones. 🖤

Memorial service Discussion (final part)

Overall, a memorial service will give you the scope and freedom, to include more into the service with less stress and less formality.

Majority of memorial services, won't need the involvement of a funeral director, unless you are wanting the coffin present. You can organise it all yourself, or with the help of family and/or friends, or I can help to organise with you.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch, or comment🖤

Memorial Service Discussion (part 3)

Another type of memorial service, with the coffin present. This type of memorial service, is more like an informal funeral service, but gives an opportunity to have a longer service, have a venue of your choice and feel a more relaxed.

This option could be chosen for different reasons; some people like the idea of a funeral being intimate and for family only or some people feel a funeral is too "formal" and sometimes even because people feel with it being a "funeral" it has to reflect on the fact that your loved one has died, instead of focusing on the positive and remembering who they were. So, having a memorial service gives people a more relaxed feeling.

This particular memorial service will need to have the involvement of your chosen funeral director, for the transportation of the coffin etc. 🖤
