Throughout the week our drug detection dog teams were deployed alongside 7 different police operations, assisting with proactive, preplanned deployments targeting county lines drug activity and the organised criminal networks

These deployments led to the recovery of a significant quantity of Class A and Class B substances, knives and a knuckle duster, while the work of our dog teams also helped provide valuable intelligence to officers carrying out enforcement activity on the ground.

County lines criminal networks continue to exploit vulnerable people and cause harm in communities across the UK. Being able to support various Police forces in disrupting this activity is something we take immense pride in.

A huge credit goes to our handlers and dogs for their professionalism and hard work throughout a demanding week of deployments, and to the officers from the forces we worked alongside for their collaboration and trust in our teams.

Partnership working like this plays a vital role in disrupting organised crime and keeping communities safe.

When thousands of people gather at festivals, conferences, and major public events, safety must be the top priority.

High-density environments present increased security risks, making proactive detection and prevention essential to protecting attendees, staff, and infrastructure. Specially trained detection canines remain one of the most reliable and efficient methods for identifying high-consequence explosive threats in crowded settings.

Last week was a busy one for CSM Security and our detection dog teams.

We deployed our Level 4 and NCTAS-P Accredited Explosive Detection Dog (EDD) teams to four different clients across multiple locations. What made it particularly unique was that we had two separate clients, at the same venue, for the same three days — both requiring EDD coverage — but operating in different areas of the same building.

I don’t think that’s ever happened to us before.

Naturally, both clients were offered the opportunity to share the same EDD team for efficiency; however, both opted to retain their own dedicated teams, which we were fully prepared to support.

Additionally, we deployed Close Protection and event security Teams alongside one of the clients, providing an enhanced protective security package tailored to their specific risk profile.

We also had Level 4-accredited Explosive Detection Dog teams deployed to a stadium and a conference centre, and our accredited Drug Detection Dogs deployed across 3 music events and 2 public sector tasks.

It’s been another busy few weeks for the team at CSM Security. Our SIA-licensed Close Protection teams have once again deployed across the Capital, Scotland, and the Midlands.

Alongside this, our NCTAS-P accredited EDD teams have supported operations to help provide safe and secure environments at stadiums, arenas, and a purpose-built event space.

Our DDD teams have also been deployed to stadiums and three major music events, with our enhanced search teams tasked to assist at one of the venues.

In addition, our security and mobile patrol divisions have continued to carry out their usual operational duties nationwide.

It’s been a very busy start to 2026 for everyone at CSM.

Our Security Division has delivered hundreds of hours of manned guarding, key holding, and alarm response services, while our Close Protection teams have returned to London on multiple occasions to provide executive security support, including coverage for a recent AGM.

Our Detection Dog teams have also been highly active. Drug Detection teams have been deployed across a number of stadiums and major events, and our Explosive Detection Dog (EDD) teams have supported music concerts in multiple arenas as well as operations at a football stadium and public sector tasks.

Alongside operational deployments, all teams have successfully completed their required continuation training, ensuring full compliance and the highest professional standards remain in place.

Our security guarding and events division has been busy this past week, deploying again over 2000 hours of resources to Christmas markets, rugby fixtures and the usual key holding and alarm response Contracts. Our Detection Dog division deployed again to some regular and 2 new public sector clients, providing operational support to NTE and County Lines operations and our NCTAS-P teams once again deployed to a stadium to support their existing security strategy to ensure the safety of the public.

CSM Security also passed its annual ISO Audits this week, maintaining our accreditations for the ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001, which demonstrates a robust and integrated management system across three critical areas of our organisation's operations: quality, environmental responsibility, and occupational health and safety.
