R Brown Specialist Laundry Engineering Limited We install, maintain, remove and reposition all types of industrial laundry equipment, specialising in stainless steel pipe work.

In recent years and with fewer trained engineers available in the industry to work on increasingly complex equipment, more and more laundries are looking to contractors to manage their on-site Engineering Support. Machine availability, throughput quality and production rates can be enhanced when using these services. We offer engineer holiday cover and planned maintenance service contracts are also available. R Brown Specialist Laundry Engineering has several engineers supporting the industrial, commercial and hospital laundry industry in the UK and Ireland. These engineers are trained to minimise breakdown times and to look for long term solutions for machine reliability. We offer onsite scheduled repairs as well as 24hr emergency cover if required. We are not tied to any single manufacturer and currently repair most makes of industrial laundry equipment. All our equipment is installed and commissioned by R Brown Specialist Laundry Engineering’s skilled team of engineers. This ensures minimum disruption to production schedules and enhances equipment efficiency. R Brown Specialist Laundry Engineering has the team to tackle the job for all your machine relocation or installation requirements. We have a small team of fabricators and a designer who can manufacture most parts to your specifications and provide up to date solutions for all your control panel needs, be it from a washer extractor panel, to a batch washer and tumble drier panel or even a complete bag system. We offer breakdown and holiday/sickness cover for your engineering department. We can offer a full pipeline installation service, for all your steam, gas and air requirements. We repair all types of industrial laundry machines, we can offer PLC upgrades to all of your existing laundry equipment. Baker Perkins Calendars, Cherrytree washers, Futurail bag systems, Spencer Washer extractors, Kent and Passat Tumblers to Weir Folders, to name but a few. We also offer a 24 hour a day callout service.

This week Jon and I were in Livingston in Bonny Scotland installing a new Ecolab Blue Ocean Compact system to a Girbau 10 stage tunnel, which will now supply the filtrate to their washers and the prewash.
What a nice client they are to work for, also what a nice laundry too, one of the cleanest factories I’ve been in for a little while. After being let down on one drain pipe by a supplier, we had to adapt Jon’s van and build a roof rack for it, using some uni-strut and pipe clamps. We laughed all the way back to the factory, we were hoping to bump in to Duncan Bannatyne and sell him the concept for Dragons Den.
