One to be revealed shortly 🤫

And another is I'll be back at the Wigan's Wellbeing Festival in June. I'll be doing free nervous system checks which everyone loved last time. AND! I'll be giving a talk on New Vision Therapy.

She thought it was just stress.

Tight shoulders.
A jaw that never quite relaxed.
That constant feeling of being “on edge”.

She tried yoga.
She tried stretching.
She even tried ignoring it.

But her body was still stuck in survival mode.

When we worked together, we didn’t just chase the pain.
We listened to the body.

Slowly, her nervous system began to settle.
Her breathing deepened.
The tension she had carried for years finally started to release.

Your body isn’t fighting you.
It’s trying to protect you.

Had a brill weekend 😊

Got to experience my 1st candle and wax melt workshop with the lovely Helen from Scent of the Moment. Highly recommend if you are interested in candle making or want to do something crafty with friends!

Was back at boxing this morning with Runcorn ABC for the ladies class. I know my arms are going to be sore tomorrow 😅

5 signs your nervous system is stuck in survival mode:
• You overreact to small things… and then immediately wonder why you just had a full emotional reaction to a mildly annoying email.
• You feel weirdly numb instead of emotional — like your brain said, “Feelings are cancelled today.”
• You’re exhausted all day… but suddenly wide awake at night like it’s time to solve every problem you’ve ever had.
• You go on vacation to relax… and your body is still like: “But what if something goes wrong?”
• You keep saying “I’m fine”… but your shoulders are basically living inside your ears.

Myth: “You just need to calm down.”

Truth: If it were that easy, you would’ve done it already… probably sometime around the 37th deep breath someone told you to take.

The reality is: you can’t always think your way out of survival mode.

When your nervous system feels unsafe, your body is running the show.

Your brain is basically trying to calm things down while the body is still hitting the internal alarm button.

The body needs to feel safe first.

Then the mind can actually settle.

That’s why releasing stored tension in the body can be such a big missing piece.

If talk therapy has helped but you still feel on edge, wired, or tight in your body…
your nervous system might still be holding tension.

And that’s something we can work with 💛

You’re not lazy.

You’re not unmotivated.

Your nervous system might just be running a 24/7 “we’re in danger” drill… even though you’re literally just trying to answer emails.

When your body stays in survival mode too long, it stores tension.

And that tension can keep your nervous system stuck in fight, flight, or freeze.
Which can look like:
• Shoulders permanently living in your ears
• A jaw that could crack walnuts
• Digestive system doing its own chaotic thing
• Brain fog mid-sentence (“what was I saying again?”)
• Sleeping like your brain drank 4 espressos
• Feeling weirdly on edge for no obvious reason

This isn’t a motivation problem.

It’s a nervous system pattern.

NVT helps the body release stored tension so your system can finally stop acting like a smoke alarm that goes off when you make toast.
