In-person meditation sessions are back!

Held gently at Equilibrium Hair and Wellness, these monthly sessions are an invitation to pause.

Saturday 21st February · 1pm
(and every 3rd Saturday of the month)

This is time set aside for you.
A place to step out of the noise, the rushing, the holding it all together.

Each session offers a supportive, welcoming space to:

- soften your nervous system

- experience guided meditation and simple mindfulness practices

- rest your body and quieten your mind

- arrive exactly as you are, without needing to fix or change anything

You don’t need experience.
You don’t need to be “good” at meditation.
You just need a willingness to take an hour or so for yourself.

If your body has been asking for space.
If your breath has been shallow without you noticing.
If rest feels overdue, this is for you.

Calling all potential models.

On Monday 19th January I will be at Equilibrium Studio to celebrate their new launch and offering a chance for you to experience the calming and nurturing massages I offer.

I will be offering 30 min taster sessions in all my treatments. Examples are massage, reflexology, lava shells and reiki. I will also be running and short introduction to meditation session. All I ask in return, is that you allow for us to video for use on social media. You will not be recogniseable from the videos. I would lke some material similar to the one in this post.

A taster is £10 and times are 3.30pm, 4pm and 4.30pm.
The meditation session is at 5pm and will run for 30 mins.

All sessions are tailored to you, so if you are in need of holding too catch your breath and to feel calm space comment on this post or message me if you are interested and wish to find more details.

Hi, I’m Helen, holistic therapist, wellbeing mentor and someone who truly believes in the power of slowing down and coming back to yourself.

I offer a carefully created range of holistic therapies, each tailored to you. This is not one size fits all treatment. My work is about helping you ease tension, breathe more freely, feel calmer, lighter and more at home in your body.

My approach is calming, nurturing, intuitive and respectful. I aim to create a space where you can fully relax, reset, restore balance at your own pace.

From tailored massage and lava shell therapy, to Reiki, Reflexology and pregnancy massage, I offer treatments that support both body and nervous system, with the option of personally blended aromatherapy oils. I also provide gentle, light touch therapies for those navigating cancer, endometriosis or fibromyalgia, where care and sensitivity matter.

This is time set aside for you, to be held and supported, as you are gently brought back into balance.

Sometimes the only way to realise how much you’re carrying is to pause. A moment of stillness loosens the pressure, and suddenly the panic of the season, the expectations, the “am I enough?” whispers quieten.

When you offload, when someone holds space without trying to fix you, clarity returns. You find your grounding again.

This December, slow down long enough to feel and hear yourself.
Christmas will unfold in its own human, imperfect way and you are already more than enough.

And that’s what matters most.

NEW YEAR, SAME YOU (and that’s more than enough)

A few days ago, an email landed in my inbox titled “New Year, New You.”
And honestly? I’m still in the depths of Christmas panic and trying to remember where those safe hiding places are, so the pressure to reinvent myself on 1st January feels completley out of wack and quite frankly, too early.

I don’t do New Year’s resolutions.
Not because I don’t believe in growth, but because January and February simply aren’t the right time for it.

If we take our cues from nature, these months are for hibernating.
For breathing.
For resting
And for creating space before anything new tries to grow.

It’s the quiet season to slow down.
A time to find what fits with us and what no longer does, to gently return to yourself before the brighter, outward months arrive. For those of us who walk with Seasonal Affective Disorder, this pace isn’t laziness. It’s wisdom and acceptance

Maybe the real invitation right now isn’t to become a new you,
but to care for the you that already exists.

To slow everything down.
To feel and listen in the stillness.
To let clarity arrive in its own time.

Something I have been working on for a while.

Sometimes when I am asked what I am, I want to say I am more than "just a massage therapist".

This is a work in progress but I hope you get the idea and enjoy.

I’m Not Just a Massage Therapist

I’m not just a massage therapist.
I read the language your body speaks
when words are no more.

I listen. Not just with my ears,
but with my hands, my breath, my presence.
I hear what isn’t said:
the sigh that hides behind a smile,
the shoulder that won’t soften,
the heartbeat that races to keep up
with a life moving too fast.

I feel the weight you carry.
Responsibility, resilience, regret.
Woven into muscle and bone,
and I meet it with stillness, not judgement.

Sometimes life feels too much,
and sometimes it bursts open,
too full, too loud, too everything.
Here, you don’t need to apologise for any of it.

In this room, you can just be
the person beneath the “I’m fine.”
The one who is allowed to exhale.

I am the tension tamer,
the soul soother,
the mind calmer,
