Do you find it hard to switch off at night?

Still thinking about work and everything you need to do tomorrow?

Worrying about something?

Try a “sleep easy” Jar… it helps you to practice “mindfulness.”

1. Write your troubling thought on a piece of paper.

2. Write next to it, the first date and time that you are actively able to do something about it (e.g 9am the next day).

3. Write down what you propose to do to resolve the issue, or the name of the person you need to ask for help, or what you are willing to do the change the situation.

4. Fold the paper and place it into the jar.

5. The agreement is, your concern is now locked away and cannot be accessed until the date and time stated on the paper (which you’ll have made a side note of).
**Make sure you don’t “access” it until the time stated on the paper, if you wake up at 7am it is still not accessible until 9am. **

6. This takes practice, (like anything) but if done regularly it can help you to cope with the reality that not everything can be done right now, but you know that the “future version” of yourself has got you covered… so you can relax… NOW xx
