So many people tell me they wake up feeling stiff, tight, or “older than they should.”

But morning stiffness isn’t age. It’s physiology.

While you sleep, your body enters repair mode.
Breath becomes shallow, joints produce less fluid, and your fascia, the thin, web-like connective tissue that wraps everything, becomes a little sticky.

Anatomy teacher Gil Hedley calls this “the fuzz.”

It’s totally normal… but it makes your first steps feel creaky.

The good news?
Gentle movement and breath “melt the fuzz”, rehydrating the fascia, restoring glide, and telling your nervous system:

“It’s safe now. You can soften.”

Even a few mindful minutes a day help.

If you’ve been feeling slower, heavier or a bit “stuck” lately… you’re not alone, and there’s actually a reason.

Let’s share a truth, the weather has been very damp of late!

In Ayurveda therapy (which is the sister science to yoga, used as preventative medicine) this time of year is dominated by cold, damp, heavy Kapha energy.

You might be feeling:

❄️ low mood
🌧 heaviness or sluggishness
🔥 slow digestion
🛌 feeling unmotivated or “stuck”

The antidote?
Air + Space.
Warmth through Movement + Breath.
Lightness + Uplift.

This week’s classes weave in a more dynamic, intentional practice, not fast or forceful, but purposeful and energising.
We’ll use breathwork, direction of prana, and spacious postures to move energy upward and outward… clearing the heaviness and re-igniting your inner fire.

Instead, it’s an immersive sonic experience where you simply lie down, get cosy under a blanket, and let waves of sound wash over you.

✨ Instruments include crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, a wind gong, and other sacred sounds, all played with the intention of helping your body and mind find deep rest and natural balance.

Sound healing isn’t just “woo woo” - studies from the University of California and the British Academy of Sound Therapy have shown that therapeutic sound can:
🌿 Reduce stress hormones (lowering cortisol levels)
💤 Improve sleep quality and support parasympathetic activation
💛 Ease anxiety and depression symptoms through deep relaxation

🙋‍♀️Feeling uninspired in your yoga practice? You’re not alone.

I’ve been a bit stuck in my own practice recently. So I reached out to a wonderful friend, who also happens to be one of my teachers, and we had a really honest chat about how to stay inspired.

We compared notes. We shared struggles. And from just that short conversation, I was reminded of this simple truth:

✨ You have to get comfortable with the boring to improve.

My friend also shared how she approaches her practice. I tried a few of her tweaks, and honestly, they made a big difference. By opening up and sharing, we exchanged real nuggets of wisdom.

👉 Moral of the story? Don’t suffer in silence. If you’re struggling, with your practice, your mindset, your body, voice it. Talk to a trusted friend or teacher.

📖 This is where community comes in.
Collaboration and connection are powerful. Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras even highlight this through the concept of Svadhyaya (self-study, often practiced in community).

Why does this matter?
Because the yogic path can be challenging. And it’s easy to fall back into old habits (samskaras) without the right support.
Being around like-minded people helps you:
• Stay inspired
• Stay accountable
• Stay true to yourself



This week’s classes are all about shoulder mobility and strength. building freedom in your body while feeling supported by those around you.

Aaaahhh I’m sooooo very excited 😝✨

These beautiful crystal singing bowls arrived last month, along with a 45cm Wind Gong, and I’ve been practicing ever since while undertaking a new Sound Healing course. It feels EPIC!

I’ve added several other instruments to my repertoire too, and honestly, each time a new one arrives I feel like a kid in a sweet shop! 🍬 I’m totally loving playing them and I’m INCREDIBLY happy to be sharing a Sound Bath with you all in Fowey!

Aries brings the fire of “I Am.”
It’s the energy of truth, identity, and courage illuminating how we’ve been showing up, what feels aligned, and what’s ready to shift.
