Today, our Pre School children enjoyed reading the second page of our focus book, discovering how the Big Bad Wolf sent Little Red Riding Hood a letter and a board game to help her find her way through the hazardous forest. 📬🐺

To link our learning to the story, we played Snakes and Ladders together! 🎲
The children practised:

🪜 Taking turns
🐍 Following simple rules
🔢 Counting spaces and recognising numbers
🧠 Problem-solving as they moved up the ladders and avoided the tricky snakes!

As we delve deeper into 'The Jolly Christmas Postman', Minis have been focusing on Little Red Riding Hood's letter🐺 Minis focused on illustrations used within the letter, and were able to confidently identify some familiar objects such as 'apple'.

To continue on from our activity, Minis enjoyed exploring Little Red's picnic basket. We talked about our favorite foods, and shared with friends beside us!🧺💚

Toddlers have been getting crafty and creative using the different coloured sized buttons to decorate their very own christmas tree ornament.

They each took control and used their hands to position the buttons on the clay, making each ornament unique and special to each child! 🌲🌟

Today we explored the magic of Christmas through the richness of reds and greens, using natural materials to paint on to cardboard. Babies loved brushing, stamping and sweeping with the brushes and branches - creating wonderful textures inspired by the Christmas season ❤️
