Hello, I thought it's been a whilst since I actually introduced myself, so here goes...(although I love taking photographs of people, I really struggled to take my own. This took a few embarrassing attempts 😄)
My name is Jane, I photograph families, couples, children, and weddings. More recently I've enjoyed helping independent brands build their business through promotional images of themselves and their work. I know what it's like to try to promote yourself, so I hope to ease this slightly by showing off the incredible talent through my photography. I'd love to build this side of my business, so do get in touch! I also occasionally do 1:1's and workshops in photography.
There's more, I also teach photography at HE level (only 2 days a week now), I run my own yoga classes twice a week .withjane and have 2 small children!
Why do I do it to myself??...well, I absolutely love everything I do, and have spent too many years just working myself to the ground with teaching full time, so I thought it was my time, in my 40's, to go for it.
I've really tried to pour my all I to it, and it has been really hard work since I left teaching full time to do it, emotionally, financially and physically but the feedback, comments and reviews I get (god, I'm so bad at putting them on here!) are always so worth it. The best thing of all is my 6 year old writing her list of jobs she wants to do: a vet, a singer, a yoga teacher and photographer ðŸ˜
I love meeting people, finding out about them and their lives, because everyone's life is important and interesting. I've found out with some really hard times that life is way too short, and you have to appreciate, celebrate and love it to the max. Being a mother (and going through some tough times with this) has also burnt a passion in me to capture family images and create experiences for people to treasure. I'm currently looking into doing my MA in photography based around women/motherhood (a thing I've been wanting to do for a long time, and now feels like the right time).
