Last week I was kindly asked to give a talk to the Harleston Information Plus volunteers, about all things Care, Community and Christies. It was great to meet so many amazing and friendly volunteers as part of their excellent befriending service across Harleston and surrounding areas. Thanks so much to Jayne Rowley-Evans & Lucy Marjoram for making me feel so welcome.

I was recently at the Festival Of Careers at East Coast College talking to students from all over Waveney, about careers in care. A fantastic day with loads of visitors and an overall really well run event. It was great to speak to so many and explain how there is so much more to having a role in the care sector.

In September, Juliette, Adam and I are running the Ipswich Half Marathon for Lighthouse Women's Aid which is a fantastic charity that supports women and children affected by domestic abuse. Wish us luck :)

On Tuesday I was at the Marmot Place meeting with East Suffolk Council in Lowestoft. There will be 3 meetings across east Suffolk and this was the 2nd with the 3rd in saxmundham on the 26th March. There was some great discussions from the community on how to make opportunities fairer and more equal for everyone across east Suffolk. Many familiar and new faces at the event.

On Monday it was the St Elizabeth Hospice Public Health Compassionate Community Celebration Event at Kesgrave Community & Conference Centre. I was joined by Seva from The Pear Tree Fund & Karen from Halesworth Volunteers
It was amazing to hear of all the initiatives and things that have been happening, plus what future plans will be there to support those end of life and grieving family and friends. Lovely to see familiar faces at the event too. Kesgrave Community and Conference Centre St Elizabeth Hospice
