A look back at a day of celebration at Jubilee House Nursing Home on Friday, as staff, residents and the local community enjoyed an Afternoon Tea Party, to celebrate their recent ‘Good’ rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

We were also delighted to be joined by The Mayor of Whitby, Cllr Sandra Turner, who said “It was a pleasure to visit Jubilee House and meet the wonderful residents and staff. The home has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere, a real home from home and it’s clear that everyone here works very hard to provide the best possible care. I was very impressed by what I saw.” 💬

Since joining the Saint Cecilia’s Care Group family, Jubilee House has seen major investment to enhance care quality and upgrade the home - and this result shows the difference it’s made. 💙

A huge thank you to our amazing team and residents who make Jubilee House such a special place. 🌟

Halloween fun at Normanby House! 👻🎃

Last week our residents and staff had a fang-tastic time celebrating Halloween together — complete with a sing-along, lots of laughter, and some spooktacularly delicious treats! 🍰🧁🕸️

Everyone joined in the fun, showing off their best smiles (and maybe a few spooky faces too!) — and just look at that feast! 😍🎶

From comfy slippers to their favourite films and tasty snacks.

Spooky goings on at Saint Cecilia’s Nursing Home! 🎃

Our staff and residents went all out for Halloween today with creative costumes such as pumpkins, skeletons, cats and all manner of other ‘spooky-inspired’ fashion filling rooms with laughter and smiles (no tricks here!). 👻

There was also a visit from a miniature pumpkin called Maggie, who seemed to really enjoy chasing people round in her Halloween costume. We think she may have stolen the show! 🐾💀

A big thank you to everyone who made today so full of fun, smiles and spooky spirit. A shout-out to Maria too for her help with face painting today! 🧙‍♀️✨

This week’s visitors at The Lounge in Eastfield got into the spooky spirit with a bit of pumpkin carving magic! ✨🕸️

We had some very creative masterpieces and everyone had a fantastic time getting hands-on and a little bit messy! 🎨👻

Welcome to the Saint Cecilia’s family of care services. We offer a full range of award-winning care services for older and vulnerable adults in and around the Scarborough area.

We have been providing care in the Scarborough area for almost 30 years and have built a fine reputation for professional, compassionate care in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

A family-run business, we have four care homes: one offering dedicated and professional nursing care and three providing compassionate residential care, including dementia care. We also have a day care centre for fun, stimulating activities and excellent companionship.

Care Home

Award-winning independent, family-owned Scarborough care home providing professional and compassionate care for people with dementia.

Nursing Home

Professional care for people who need 24-hour nursing care and for others who need residential care. Providing personal freedom and choice.

Normanby House

Purpose-built residential care for up to 25 older people with physical care needs and dementia care, in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.

Alba Rose

The latest addition to the Saint Cecilia’s family, Alba Rose is a care home in the picturesque town of Pickering. It provides professional and dedicated care for up to 22 older people.
