This is why I can't allways give a set time, all horses are different :) some may need 30 mins, some may need 90 mins. It all depends on the horse and what I find :)

Shout out to those studying the art of equine massage 🐎🎓

Not every horse will happily stand still for a full hour of massage and bodywork and that’s absolutely fine.

The more practice you get, the more you will appreciate that horses have different levels of patience, focus, and comfort. It’s our responsibility as therapists to adapt the session to suit each individual horse. That might mean incorporating stretching, mobilisation, dynamic release, or shorter focused techniques to keep them relaxed and engaged.

Don’t beat yourself up for not doing everything, a great session isn’t about ticking off a set routine, it’s about listening to the horse and finding the right combination of methods that help them get the most from their treatment 🙌
