Dear makers,
This Christmas the craft sector has come together to launch a national campaign, designed to support makers across the UK and encourage shoppers to .
Led by Folksy, Heritage Crafts, CRAFT Festival, Find a Maker, Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair and the Crafts Council – the campaign is supported by craft advocates Jay Blades, Keith Brymer Jones and Sue Pryke.
We want to encourage shoppers to think differently this Christmas and buy from small independent businesses – buying well-crafted, unique gifts, handmade with passion and made to last.
How can you get involved
• Post work you have available to buy and use the hashtag .
• Tell the story of how that piece was made – highlight the skill and craftsmanship that went in to the making of it.
• Like, comment and share other posts that have used the hashtag.
• Share how you will be buying handmade gifts for your loved ones this Christmas.
Let’s not be drowned out by big business – let’s make a splash on social media and get the public buying craft this Christmas!
