Not all heel pain is the same... 👣

Achilles tendinopathy is a common cause — but it’s not the only one. Pain at the back of your heel can also stem from:

• Retrocalcaneal Bursitis
• Insertional Achilles Tendinopathy
• Non-Insertional Achilles Tendinopathy
• Achilles Paratendinopathy
• Haglunds Deformity
• Tendon Rupture
• Osteophytes (bone spurs)

That’s why an accurate diagnosis matters. Treating the wrong thing wastes time — and can make recovery even harder.

As a HCPC Registered Podiatrist, I carry out detailed biomechanical assessments to identify which structure is affected, why it’s overloaded, and how to rehabilitate it safely and effectively

Evidence-based treatment often includes progressive loading, manual therapy, and gait retraining — all tailored to your goals, whether that’s a pain-free 5K, a full return to sport, or back to your normal daily routine.

Don’t guess. Let’s get to the root cause and build a plan that gets you moving confidently again. 💪

When someone suggests I recommend turmeric powder for fungal toenails… 👀

Let’s be clear — I love a holistic lifestyle as much as anyone, but fungal nail infections need *evidence-based care*, not spice rack experiments. 🌿

Management depends on how severe the infection is, but generally involves:
• Keeping nails trimmed, clean, and filed down.
• Wearing breathable footwear and cotton socks.
• Treating any athlete’s foot (because fungus loves company).

If infection is confirmed, topical antifungal medicinal treatments such as amorolfine lacquer can help — but results take time and consistency (up to 9–12 months).

For more advanced or stubborn cases, oral antifungal medication may be prescribed in collaboration with your GP.

🦶 As a HCPC Registered Podiatrist, I can assess the nail properly, confirm the cause, and create a treatment plan that’s grounded in science — no turmeric required.

Less pain. More power. 👣🏋️‍♀️⛳️

From the gym to the golf course to the clinic — I live the same lifestyle as the clients I treat. I understand what it means to push through training, to recover from injury, and to want to perform at your best without pain holding you back.

That’s why my approach to rehab isn’t about restriction — it’s about 🔥movement optimisation🔥

Assessing your biomechanics, building strength where it matters, and teaching your body to move the way it was designed to.

Because the best person to help you move without pain? It's someone who moves like you do.

Let’s get you back to training, playing, and living — comfortably, powerfully, and pain-free.

🏡 Home Visit Update 👣

While I’m recovering from my recent foot injury, I’ll be offering a limited number of home visit appointments throughout November.

These will be supported by my family of podiatrists — and, as always, carried out with the same high level of care and attention to detail you receive in clinic.

Home visits in private practice allow me to give you more time in a familiar environment, and a truly personalised experience — perfect for those who prefer to be treated in the comfort of their own home.

Spaces will be limited while I recover, so please message early if you’d like to be added to the list for November or December visits.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support — and for trusting us to care for the feet that carry you. 💫

Movement is medicine — when it’s done well ✨

Strength and conditioning isn’t just for performance; it’s the foundation of injury prevention and rehabilitation. Every squat, lunge and glute thrust builds resilience through the lower limbs — exactly what I help my clients achieve in clinic.

Whether you’re returning from injury or optimising for performance, your movement patterns tell a story. My role is to assess, correct and strengthen — so you can move comfortably, confidently, and powerfully 💪🏼

A touch of Swiss elegance is coming to the clinic ✨

Unboxing some beautifully gifted products from , kindly sent through 💌

As we approach the clinic’s first birthday this November, it feels like the perfect time to introduce more high-end, evidence-led brands into our collection. Poderm, founded by Swiss podiatrist Maud Falconnet, blends medical expertise with natural, plant-based ingredients — designed to restore nail health while adding a touch of elegant care.

Their Fungal Nail Serum uses patented Mimetix technology to mimic the nail’s natural defences, encouraging renewal and strength. And these breathable, treatment-infused nail polishes in Rouge Allure and Rose Poudre are a stunning way to keep nails healthy and beautiful ❤️

The Rouge Allure shade couldn’t be more on brand — bold, confident, and polished (literally) 😉

Not an ad, simply a gifted delivery that couldn’t have arrived at a better time — just in time for a little birthday glow-up 👣

Bold of you to assume anyone wants to see 3,000 pictures of feet 👣

The reality of being a podiatrist: my camera roll is 90% soles, toes, and tidy nail folds — and honestly, I’m proud of it.

Every image tells a story of comfort restored, pain relieved, and someone walking out of clinic just that bit happier ✨

(All shared with consent, of course — we keep it classy around here)
