We had a wonderful time today welcoming Lucy, feelgoodfloristry, for our monthly flower arranging 🌸🐣

Residents enjoyed creating beautiful dried flower Easter basket arrangements, getting hands-on with a variety of colours, textures, and designs. Activities like this are a fantastic way to support hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, while also encouraging creativity and artistic expression.

It was heartwarming to see everyone sharing ideas, helping each other, and working together in such a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and stunning creations to take pride in!

A big thank you to Lucy for bringing such a calming and inspiring session to our home 💐

A relaxed morning spent making flower decorations for our Easter displays 🌼

There was plenty of choice with colours and designs, and everyone enjoyed taking their time to create something their own.

Activities like this are a simple but effective way to support dexterity and concentration, while also giving residents the opportunity to sit together and chat.

We’re looking forward to seeing them displayed around the home over Easter.

Last night, our General Manager Donna hosted her very popular pub quiz — and it drew the biggest crowd we’ve ever seen😊 The room was buzzing with laughter as everyone put their brain cells to work, learning all sorts of wonderfully useless facts about Spring. With drinks flowing and crisps crunching, it made for a brilliant evening all round.

Quizzes are a fantastic workout for the mind, keeping that grey matter active and engaged. And for Donna, it was the perfect chance to step away from her desk and spend time doing what she loves: being with our residents and their families🥰

Moments like these are so special, helping us connect with our local community, build friendships, and share in the joy of music and movement together.

We can’t wait to welcome them back again soon! A big thank you for your visit 💛

🎲 Games Day Fun in the Sitwell Café! ☕

Our Sitwell Café was full of laughter and friendly competition! We had one table enjoying a lively game of Scrabble, putting their word skills to the test, while another table got stuck into a classic game of dominoes.

It’s always wonderful to see everyone coming together, sharing smiles, and making the most of these special moments. 💛

Who’s ready for the next games day? 😊

A little friendly competition at Outram Fields 🎳

Our residents enjoyed a lively game of bowls this week—and it wasn’t long before they enticed Pierre (Hospitality Manager), Wendy (Housekeeping Manager), and Sam (Deputy Manager) to join in for a game or two!

With plenty of cheering and playful competition the game was in full swing and full of laughter. It’s fantastic to see everyone getting involved and sharing such fun moments together.

Activities like bowls are not only enjoyable but also great for improving hand-eye coordination and working towards a goal—keeping minds and bodies active in the best way.

Easing into Easter with creativity at Outram Fields 🌼🐣

Daisy, our Wellbeing & Lifestyle Assistant, led a lovely Easter craft session in the Sitwell Café. Residents enjoyed decorating eggs with tissue paper and decoupage, bringing a real sense of spring indoors.

Crafting supports fine motor skills, encourages creativity, and brings people together—creating joyful, meaningful moments.

A special thank you to Phoebe, our work experience student, and Maisy, our volunteer, who join us every Thursday. They’ve built wonderful relationships with residents and provide fantastic support to our community 💛

We’re so proud of the warm, creative environment here at Outram Fields.

Gardening has been well and truly at the heart of our activities as we welcome the arrival of spring 🌱🌼

With Caroline’s support, Well with nature, we’ve started sowing a variety of seeds and flowers, including tomatoes, nasturtiums, and courgettes. It’s been wonderful to see everyone getting involved and enjoying the process.

At a Outram Fields we focus on making gardening accessible for all abilities by using raised planters, lightweight tools, and adapted equipment, as well as offering hands-on support where needed. Activities like seed sowing are a great way to ensure everyone can take part at their own pace, whether that’s planting, watering, or simply enjoying the sensory experience.

It’s been lovely to see everyone connect with nature and share the joy of anticipation while watching something grow 💚
