Having worked in the hospitality industry for over 28 years, I have had many aches and pains in various parts of my body and know full well how relieving a good massage can feel. As I've grown older I have become more passionate about learning about the body and mind to keep you well. Learning to relax in order to function better in the rest of your day. I started to think that I needed to pursue this passion more and so it made sense to retrain in holistic massage in order to help others heal and relax. I am a fully qualified massage therapist, in June 2021 I finished my training in Holistic Therapeutic Massage with The Sheffield Centre for Massage Training and passed the MTI external practical assessment and the exam for my diploma in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology. A holistic approach is my aim in order to not just ease your aches and pains, but to leave you feeling relaxed and renewed. All massages are tailored to your individual needs at that moment in time. I aim to create a safe and comfortable environment for you to fully relax. Therapeutic massage aims for relaxation using techniques based on Swedish massage - effleurage, petrissage and tapotement (stroking, kneading and percussion). Deep tissue massage aims to realign the deeper layers of muscles and involves slower, deeper work with an increased pressure to get through the top layer of muscles. It is a more intense massage technique but is not meant to be painful.
