Phase transfers come with rights of appeal, so if you are not happy with the school which has been allocated, you have the right to appeal this.

You can first speak to the school which has been allocated to discuss your child's needs. This may reassure you that it is a suitable placement.

You can find out more about mediation and appeals on our website here https://sheffieldsendias.org.uk/mediation-and-tribunals

What does the Government’s new schools white paper mean for me?
The Government has published its new schools white paper, Every Child Achieving and Thriving. This has opened the door for families, Parent Carer Forums (PCFs) and other stakeholders to share their views on the proposals.
We know that some families may be feeling anxious about what these proposals could mean for them, and for children and young people with SEND. To help, SPCF has put together an article explaining what the white paper is, what happens next, and what it means for families right now.

“A message from Neurodiversity Sheffield for all families living with neurodivergence – no diagnosis necessary.
At Neurodiversity Sheffield we are aware that things have changed significantly over recent years for families living with neurodivergence and we want to make sure that as a service we are supporting families in the best way we can.
We want to hear from as many families as possible about what support they are looking for, what challenges they are facing, and how and when they need to access support.
You do not need to have used our services to complete the survey!
We would appreciate it if you could please spare 5 minutes to complete the survey by clicking the link below. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us and can help us to improve the service that we offer.
