Following an indulgent massage, I offer clients a peice of Conscious 'Love' a really scummy nut-free vegan chocolate which was one of the first to not be wrapped up in plastic. I am really sad to learn that this raw chocolate company is closing down at the end of March due to increasing costs. If you want to buy some to enjoy before it's too late, or use an unusual recipe from their blog, follow the link in the comments 💜

Massage for me is like adding petrol to a car, it makes my body work. It is caring enough about myself to optimise what I can, despite having chronic illnesses. Movement becomes less painful and I need fewer rest breaks when I invest in regular massages.

When I say ‘happy new year’,
I’m not for a moment,
expecting this to occur,
for that is not possible,
a year must be all things.

Happiness must come and go,
like the tides and the winds,
just as sadness,
and all the emotions in between.

When I say ‘happy new year’,
I’m really wishing you,
a baseline of peace,
of gratitude.

Because if you can sit with these things,
for the most part,
happiness will thrive,
when it does arrive,
and sadness will know its place in the mix.

If you can nourish these things,
daily,
you will also grow hope,
for it flourishes in such soil.

And hope is the key,
to this enigmatic state
of ‘happiness’ we seek.

When I say ‘happy new year’,
I’m really wishing you more happy days,
than sad days,
more joy than misery,
more laughter than tears…
and the wisdom to accept,
that they all belong.

Happy new year, my friends.
Happy new year.

Wishing you restorative sleep🪷

The selection of these meditations are my favorites to help you sleep if you are having difficulty relaxing or if you awaken in the night and want to relax, clear your mind and fall asleep. Sweet dreaming. # into sleep

The power of touch keeps on impressing me, it has never run out, even after decades of working with human bodies. This article is certainly reflective of my experience as a massage therapist who sees more folks on the table in burnout, or with depression, anxiety, sensory processing disorders or a trauma history than say sports injuries.

I am so glad the book "The Body Keeps The Score" was on our reading list before I qualified. It continues to make a real difference to my practice :)

What’s often overlooked in the treatment of mental illness is the neglect of your body, and its need to be cared for and soothed
