In the words of Jeremy Clarkson “I did a thing”
⭐️💕⭐️💕⭐️
and that thing was nominating Eastbury House Residential Home for the “Best Place To Work” in the Sherborne Business Awards 2025.
I am pleased to say they have been shortlisted 🥳
Here is my written nomination - well done and good luck!
⭐️🍀⭐️🍀⭐️
“Eastbury House is a small but exceptional care home nestled in the heart of Sherborne on Long street.
The care home was established over 50 years ago and from the moment you step inside the grade ll building it welcomes you with nothing but a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Each and every member of staff are trained to provide a high level of care, they always greet you with a smile and their outstanding care shines through with all the residents who look so happy and well looked after.
Eastbury house thrive to go that one step further - by providing weekly activities from singing, art, fitness, trips, garden parties and wellbeing weeks for staff and residents. They are always thinking of the future and are currently raising money towards dementia technology.
They excel in working well with the local community, schools, District nurses, GPs and other health care professionals. This is so vital when working in the caring industry as you form a good support network by expanding learning, knowledge and all round care for the residents.
The home has recently been awarded the Gold StandardPlatinum status for end of life care and came runner up for care home of the year. This is an incredible achievement and credit to everyone.
There is no doubt the Eastbury Care Home should be recognised for their outstanding care and contribution to the local community.
As a fellow professional carer myself I see the excellence in each and every member of staff. Two of my clients are now permanent residents and one for day care.
I have known and worked with the Eastbury for many years and I always recommend to anyone.
I know for a fact everyone at The Eastbury Care Home will be thrilled they have been nominated for the Sherborne Awards - The caring industry continues to face many difficult hurdles and not get the credit it deserves.
Sherborne should be proud to have this amazing care home on their door step they are an asset to the town and local community - and should not go unrecognised”
