Just a reminder to stay hydrated. 🤓
Water is necessary for health. This means you HAVE to drink water in one way or another to look after your health. For some reason we have come away from this and think of water as a choice of drink. Its not. Your body needs it and is likely crying out for it without you releasing. More on this later. First here are some top reasons water is so important:

💦 Supports your digestive health. Keeps healthy bowels, and helps your body produce stomach acid.

💦 Helps regulate body temperature.

💦 keeps your skin supple.

💦 Supports blood flow and delivery of nutrients within the body.

💦 Helps to keep joints mobile.

💦 Boosts energy and can reduce fatigue.

Hiking is one of lifes simple pleasures. Being outdoors, breathing fresh air and having that space to explore is priceless. I headed to the Brecon Beacons for some hiking with my sister, blessed with good weather, it's everything I needed.

It's been a long day, you've eaten dinner and yet still reach for the chocolate, crisps or biscuits. Whatever your guilty pleasure, here are my 4 top tips to get your snacking under control.

🍏 Eat a balanced meal. Make sure to fill your plate with a mix of protein, fat and carbohydrates.

🍏 Hydrate. Opt for a glass of water when you find yourself reaching for the snack drawer, you might be surprised that this really does help!

🍏 Get rid of your snack drawer. Remove the temptation, make snacks an occasional treat that you can look forward to.

🍏 Notice your trigger. Is it the sitting in front of the TV? Or whilst your cleaning? Whatever your trigger is, identify it to allow for change.

Happy Friday! 🤗 The day we all look forward to, only to be followed by the inevitable Sunday night blues.
What if this could be different? What if you could carry that Friday feeling through your whole weekend?
Here's my top Friday tip. GET AHEAD! Before you finish work, write a detailed list of all the tasks that need to be done first thing Monday. Acknowledge your week ahead, schedule your meetings, training sessions, identify any tasks that might need extra attention, you can even factor in prep time for any upcoming presentations and leave this on your desk ready for 9am Monday. This is simple yet effective.
You'll feel organised and ready for the week ahead. You'll know exactly what you've got on and what you need to do, allowing you to plan around your workload.
Best of all, you'll start Monday full of intent and ready to smash it!

Walking in nature is such a simple pleasure, and it's definitely kept me sane during lockdown. Going for walks is an excellent stress reliever, reduces anxiety and helps you to clarify your thoughts. The sheer movement of your eyes, (which we do much more often when on a walk) can work to reduce anxiety! How cool is that! Next time you're feeling a bit overwhelmed pop out for a stroll in a nearby park.
Going for walks in nature is the goal, but if all you can manage is a walk around the block, it's certainly going to help a whole heap more than not!
