It's that time of year again where we support this fantastic event with our friends at Telford Steam Railway.

We start this weekend with the test runs followed by 5 weeks of festive cover!

We were honoured to stand alongside our on-site partners, visitors and members of the public this morning for a two-minute silence outside the Battle Back Centre ❤️

Together, we paused to remember and honour the sacrifices made by service personnel in all conflicts.

We will remember them.

Thanks to Operations Team Leader Matt (right) and Team Member Joe for representing us at Shifnal Remembrance Parade and Service today.

As well as representing, they were also on first aid standby for all attendees and participants.

This year we're supporting five Christmas Light Switch-On events in our local area working with local Parish Councils to ensure the safety of residents and attendees.

Our Community Support Team are out tonight at Shifnal Cricket Club covering the annual fireworks display which sees up to 3000 people visit each year!

We'll also be maintaining a resource in the town centre after the event has finished.

🖤 Standing with everyone affected
Last night, a serious incident on a train near Huntingdon has left multiple people injured and many lives stunned by grief and shock. 

Our hearts go out to

🖤The victims and their families — we cannot begin to imagine the fear, trauma and uncertainty you’re facing.
🖤The emergency services, first-responders, paramedics, railway staff, and call-handlers — your courage, speed and compassion in the midst of chaos is deeply appreciated.
🖤The railway workers and operators who had to manage this in real time, with very limited information and enormous pressure.
🖤Everyone who witnessed or was on that train — the trauma of seeing something so sudden and violent stays with you, and it matters.

In a moment like this, we’re reminded just how fragile safety can feel, and how vital it is to care for each other — physically, emotionally and mentally.

If you or someone you know is struggling with what happened — whether you were directly involved or you’re simply shaken by the news — please know: you are not alone. Reach out. Talk. Connect. Support does exist.
