💓 GROOM SELFIES 💓

I love a last minute selfie with the groom and guests, just seconds before the bride enters ♥️

Look at the smiles here from Groom Jack and their family and friends 😍

It was an honour to officiate Chloe and Jack’s big day yesterday 👰‍♀️

The service was full of laughter from the start, and there were even a few (happy) tears from parents with a surprise reading from Jack’s sister 🥰

Personal, fun, funny, real, honest, and VERY laid back and chilled ✌️

My kinda wedding! 💒

Let’s celebrate life – every part of it 💃

I always arrive at least half an hour early before a service to pause, prepare, and be fully present for the families I have the honour of supporting. On this morning, I grabbed a little hot chocolate from the lovely Last Drop Coffee Van and it was just what I needed - comforting, calming, and a small act of kindness on a big day. ☕️

Whether you’re visiting to say goodbye, visiting someone special, or just needing a moment to breathe, it’s beautiful to now have this little van offering warm drinks and warm smiles right outside the crematorium.

Two small businesses, side by side, trying to bring a little care and comfort to people on some of life’s hardest days.
And with yesterday being , it feels like a gentle reminder to pause, accept kindness, and look after your heart.

So next time you’re there, don’t forget to grab a warm drink and tasty treat to bring you a little bit of comfort on a very hard day. You deserve it!

And before you ask, yes Kim does events - so my Shrewsbury wedding couples - hit her up!

💓 Me and my girls 💓

Today I sat with a family who lost their mum suddenly. Four siblings, all around my age, heartbroken but full of love as they remembered her. It’s clear she was a special lady who brought joy to everyone she met.

It was a powerful reminder: life is short, and none of us are promised tomorrow. We spend so much time working, cleaning, stressing, worrying, overthinking…

But in the end, it’s the memories, the laughter, the love that will be remembered.

I want my girls to look back on a mum who was present, joyful, and loving. Not just busy or tired. (Or shouting 😬 😵‍💫)

Being a celebrant is such a privilege helping families through the hardest times, and celebrating lives that were deeply loved. And I promise to always devote time to each of my services to honour these special people. 🙏

So this Sunday, take a breath, let yourself off the hook, be kind to yourself and soak in the good stuff.
Life is precious. And we only get one shot at it. So love hard and don’t sweat the small stuff ♥️

💓 Friday Feels 💓

I’m taking a moment to reflect before school pick up and mum duty resumes and another busy weekend is upon us…

This week has been full - honouring lives, meeting families, listening to stories, and planning individual farewells.

Each funeral is a privilege, and I’m always mindful that I’m walking with people on one of the hardest days of their lives.

I’ll be busy writing a service this weekend for a special goodbye next week, but if you’re in need of a celebrant for a funeral now, or for future planning, I’m here. I’d love to help you.

💓 Back in Business 💓

After taking some time to grieve the loss of my beautiful dad and soak up the chaos of summer holidays with the kids 😵‍💫 (how y’all coping???) I’m back 💪 and ready to help you honour life’s most meaningful moments.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been quietly working behind the scenes. I’ve had the privilege of leading several heartfelt funerals and already have weddings booked for next year 💍💐 exciting!

💓 GODPARENTS 💓

Or Guide Parents, Guard Parents, Sparents….

Whatever you choose to call them - it’s lovely to choose special people in your life that your children can rely on

So when it comes to your little one’s Naming Ceremony, take some time out to see if you’d like someone to take on this responsibility, and what you’d like to call them

For us, we wanted people who had similar values to us… fun, real, approachable, creative and reliable

It wasn’t about presents, or even presence - just a knowledge that when needed - they’d be there!

And we chose well.

None of my girls’ God parents live close by - but they love them very much and are a big part of their lives. And vice versa. I can feel the love from them all when they see my children. And this is priceless.

Our children are lucky enough to have amazing aunties and uncles - but it’s lovely to know that they have extra grown ups looking out for them, too

So when you choose me to help you with your Naming Ceremony, remember - there are no rules!

It can be traditional, more modern, a bit of both, and it can incorporate a little religion too if you’d like?

You can choose one special ‘Guardparent’ or 10!! Who’s counting? Not me…

And you can have it whenever and wherever you’d like filled with personal readings, poems, songs and whatever else you see fitting

It’s about you and your family. And I’d love to help you

So if you’re welcoming a new baby into the world soon, or your bigger babies have never had a naming ceremony, then I’d love to hear from you! Maybe you’re a full grown adult and have never had one - this is your sign to do it! Any excuse for a party, right?

💓 TEN YEARS MARRIED 💓

A whole decade of love, laughter, lessons, and learning how to grow together.

Through the highs, the lows, and the everyday in-between, we’ve built something real and something worth celebrating.

As a celebrant, I get to witness so many beautiful beginnings. But today, I’m honouring what comes after the “I do” - the vows we live every single day.

Whether you’re planning your wedding, dreaming of a vow renewal, or just feeling sentimental, love deserves to be celebrated at every stage.
And I’d be honoured to help you do just that.

To my husband: thank you for being my safe place, my partner, and my best friend. Here’s to ten years, and all the years to come ♥️

💓 A PERSONAL GOODBYE 💓

On Wednesday, just two weeks after he died, I had the privilege of writing and delivering my dad’s funeral. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but also one of the most beautiful.

The day was full of love and laughter. His seven grandchildren all wore United Kits in his honour. My sisters and I each took to the front to read and reflect on his incredible life. There were tears, yes, but just as much laughter. We shared stories, music, and memories that felt so completely him. It was deeply personal, and it mattered.

It reminded me why I chose to do this as a profession.

As a celebrant, I believe everyone deserves a service that reflects who they truly were, not just the facts of their life, but their humour, their passions, the people they loved, and the joy they brought to others

My dad’s ceremony was exactly that. And I’m proud of what we created.

I worried about sharing my work in such a personal way, but I want people to know: this is more than a role for me. I understand how much it matters to get it right. And I bring that same care, attention, and heart into every ceremony I lead.

If you’re ever in need of someone to help craft a truly meaningful farewell; for someone you love or to plan ahead - I’m here. And I promise it will be personal, respectful, and real.

Because every life deserves to be remembered well.

I hope we did you proud dad - because we were always proud of you - this day more than ever.

Dad always said he was lucky - but like Nina said during the service - I think we were the lucky ones

Sleep well dad. We will miss you forever ♥️

Today’s the day we give Dad the send off he deserves ♥️

It is my honour to lead the service and welcome everybody as we celebrate his wonderful life 🙏
