This breakfast bowl will mean you start the day the right way with plenty of protein and good fats, with a few carbs along the way, it makes a great brunch or lunch as well. You don't have to use all the ingredients, they all work in any combination, and you can of course spread them out on a plate as well.

1 or 2 boiled eggs - mash with some mayo, turmeric and black pepper & chives.
Half/whole avocado (depending on size) - chop/mix/mash with some cayenne pepper or chilli flakes, fresh coriander, sea salt, black pepper, a squeeze of lemon juice and olive oil.
Cottage cheese - grass fed and organic if possible.
1 tomato rough chopped or 4 x cherry tomatoes in halves or quarters - mix with olive oil, fresh basil, oregano, black pepper and sea salt to taste.
Bitter mixed leaves - Rocket, lettuce, radicchio, watercress, mustard grees etc.
Mixed seeds.
Rye, spelt or sourdough bread is optional.

Place the leaves on the bottom of the bowl and pour a little olive oil and apple cider vinegar on them.
Add a spoonful of cottage cheese evenly spread over the leaves.
Take even amounts of the egg mix, avocado and tomatoes and put them on top of the leaves/cream cheese.
Top with seeds

Bon Appetit!

"I saw Mark about a number of symptoms I was experiencing and am happy to say I am feeling so much better after taking his advice. I'm really looking forward to working with Rhys and helping his clients at Valley Activ to reach their goals!

I'm also very pleased that I'll be able to recommend my clients to an experienced personal trainer that I know and trust.

🙋‍♂️ Next affiliate and a very different skill set. Introducing Mark at East Devon Nutrition.

💪 I have known Mark since we were young kids running around sports fields on the weekends. His very personal reasons that led him into the world of nutrition means he has a huge passion and knowledge for everything he does. Mark is also very interested in cutting edge ways of assessing individual nutritional needs and is constantly evolving his services as the technology advances.

ℹ️ Here’s Mark in his own words:

“Hi, I’m Mark. After 20 years of working as a Chef, I decided to retrain as a Nutritional Therapist, gaining my Diploma with a distinction from the College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2019 and started East Devon Nutrition. Due to personal issues with my skin, that was always going to be an area I wanted to focus on, but throughout my studies I became fascinated by the workings of the gut and its role in so many areas of mental and physical wellbeing. I have helped my clients achieve many different health goals related to digestive issues, weight management, healthy approaches to the menopause and perimenopause, mental health and autoimmune conditions to name a few.
The feedback from my clients is that they don’t just come away with resolution of the issue they first came to me with, but with improvements and insight into different areas of their lives, such as sleep, energy and mental well-being. I believe that the combination of Valley Activ and East Devon Nutrition will be able to put you on the right path to ensure a healthier and happier future for yourself and your family.”

Hi!

Nutritional Therapy is a complementary therapy that can be used in conjunction with orthodox medical treatment. It is the use of nutritional science and lifestyle advice to enable people to achieve optimum health.

A Nutritional Therapist will attend to each person’s individual dietary and nutritional requirements and work with the client to establish methods to support the management of chronic health conditions, mental health and general health and well-being.

We are all a product of our genetic strengths and weaknesses, our environment and our own dietary journey, and no two people are the same. Everyone is an individual and should be treated as such.

As a Chef and the son of a Dentist and Microbiologist with a good education, I could not believe that the advice I had received was not mainstream and decided that I wanted to go back to college and ultimately help people to realise the possible healing benefit of food. I studied for my diploma in Nutritional Therapy at The College of Naturopathic Medicine in Bristol and after 3 years of Nutritional Biomedicine academic study and 200 hours of clinical training, I completed the course and graduated with a distinction.
