I see so many posts of farriers complaining about difficult and bad paying customers- we have no outstanding invoices, this makes my life so much less stressful in many ways. I’m very grateful to all the people I work for.
I’m very lucky to now be in a position, after another clearout, to not have to work for anyone I have to suffer.
I know I’m still sometimes a grumpy sod, but I do enjoy working for you and caring for your horses, in my own special little way!!
Im very grateful to still have Ollie in my camp, after 19yrs of incredible loyalty, and Jack this year has dipped back in and out as and when needed.
A massive heartfelt thank you from myself and Ted (because he now gets a much happier and chilled version of me.)

We’re very happy to soon be able to offer a mobile equine weighing service. We’ve seen too many weight related issues this year and wanted to be able to offer some assistance.
It’s been a significant investment so please support.
The weighbridge will be in the van, but also, we’ll have people offering the service on our behalf across the county, and further afield if demand is there.
You don’t have to be one of our shoeing customers to use this service. Please share far and wide, we genuinely believe this will have a very positive impact on your horse or ponies wellbeing.

The hunters have had their shoes off for a well deserved summer holiday. The hardest form of shoeing, but the most rewarding. These boys (and girl) are some of the most stoic, gutsy and humbling horses we do. A 179 days hunting between them, 4 lost shoes hunting, 2 in the field and not a single corn or foot lameness. Not a bad average, we’ll take that.

Our favourite time of year. Seeing so many foals- we spend half a day, every week of the year at Brackenspa Stud near Bourne. We see mares, foals, stallions and a whole range of youngsters. Very hard work, mentally and physically, but a great feeling knowing they have good feet and have a good experience with the farrier that will stay with them for life.

A quick reminder.. (not to monthly account customers).
We accept card, cash, cheques and BACS.
By invoicing on the day and requesting payment on the day, helps keeps our prices stable.
Steel prices are currently very volatile and are going up weekly, however, by having a good cash flow, we can pay suppliers on the day with a debit card to ensure we aren’t passing these unjustified material price rises on to the customer.
Late payments are subject to a 5%, out of courtesy, we always send a reminder before this late charge kicks in.
