🎒 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 = 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸! 🎒 (And the arguments over the latest ‘trend’ if they are anything like my kids were! 😂🙄)

But before you give in, it’s worth making sure their bag won’t leave them with sore shoulders or achy backs by October!

✨ 𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙏𝙤𝙥 𝙏𝙞𝙥𝙨:
• 🏋️‍♀️ Keep it light – no more than 10% of body weight.
• 🎒 Choose a two-strap backpack with wide, padded straps (bonus points if it’s got a waist strap!).
• 📚 Pack smart – heaviest stuff closest to the back.
• ✅ Wear both straps (no one-shoulder fashion shows please!).
• 🔑 Use lockers where possible - only carry what they need.

For little ones, the best way to achieve progress is through play. When therapy feels like fun, children are more engaged, motivated, and confident and that’s when the magic happens! 🌟

Co-created by Joe Wicks and STUDIO AKA, Activate is made up of short, five-minute episodes that parents and teachers can easily integrate into their day at home, school or summer activity clubs.

I honestly 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 seeing your babies in clinic, it’s one of my favourite parts of the job. But I won’t lie… it also makes me ridiculously broody every single time! 🥹💕👶🏻

I know how easy it is to worry if your little one isn’t quite doing what the books (or Google!) say they “𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥” be doing, but honestly, babies all do things in their 𝘰𝘸𝘯 time. Some race ahead, some take their time… and most of the time, it’s completely normal.

The best bit is watching them figure it all out at their own pace with a bit of support if and when they need it 💛

Here’s a prime example ⬇️
These cheeky little chaps are my own twins Will & Jack.
They were around 15 weeks old here (and now they are 16 years old - how time flies when you are having fun 🤔)…….

Twin 1 on the right (Will): textbook tummy time pro 💪🏼
✔️ Head control? ✅
✔️ Forearm propping? ✅
✔️ Trunk extension? ✅

Twin 2 on the left (Jack): absolutely 𝘯𝘰𝘵 on the same page 😅
More “faceplant” than “forearm prop”! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Although judging by Wills face, he’s working pretty hard too 😂

Same age. Same environment. Same parents.
TOTALLY different pace.
