What an amazing afternoon we have had ! We had invitations from South Tyneside town hall to attend a Veterans event which we had the pleasure of attending. Five of our 13 Veterans attended an afternoon of Carol's performed by St Oswalds junior school, we have met the lord lieutenant to the king , the Mayor and dignitaries with fellow care home Veterans , serving members , Veterans , Red bench program and our Veterans in care friends. I personally would like to thank East Durham veterans for allowing us to use the mini bus honestly you have been a life saver , a massive thank you too Lee moore our Veterans supporter for our home and driver of our bus , Hugh , kerry, Tracy and Pam for helping with the smooth running of the afternoon. All our Veterans were presented with the Oath of allegiance and thier Veterans badges. If you all keep you eyes open you may see some familiar faces on ITV Tyne Tees News at 6pm tomorrow!!!!
