A heart‑warming card from a previous client.
Therapy is often quiet, steady work, and we don’t always see the longer‑term impact.
This small note was a reminder that showing up with consistency and care matters — and why I genuinely enjoy the work I do.

Festivals come in many forms - Christmas, Hanukkah, Lunar New Year, Eid, Kwanzaa, Diwali, and more. They can bring joy, but they can also stir tender feelings. Sometimes they highlight what’s missing, bring up family tensions, or leave us feeling drained.

If your relationship feels fragile or unsettled during these times, you’re not alone. Festivals can amplify what already feels sensitive. It doesn’t mean you’re failing, it means you’re human.

A few gentle reminders:
- Take a breath before reacting
- Speak your needs softly, even if they feel small
- Lower expectations just a little
- Share time and space, rather than trying to fix everything
- Remember that small acts of kindness can shift the emotional climate

Festivals don’t have to be magical to be meaningful. They can be spacious, quiet, and real. You are allowed to show up just as you are.

Hi, I’m Kangli at Echo Forest Therapy & The Counselling Space — and I’ll admit, making this video was a little outside my comfort zone! I wanted to challenge myself to be brave and step in front of the camera, because I believe showing up authentically matters, and that’s exactly what I encourage in therapy too.

In the video, I share a bit about how I work with , , and approaches, and what it’s like to be in sessions with me.

I support individuals and couples through life and relationship challenges, and as a registered member of the , I’m committed to counselling that’s professional, ethical, and above all, human.

šŸ’¬ Take a look, and if it resonates, I’d love to connect.

šŸŽ§ Podcast Recommendation of the Week šŸŽ§
This week, I’m sharing one of my favorite listens: The Diary of a CEO by Steven Bartlett.

Why do I love it?
āœ”ļø The conversations are thought-provoking and often go beyond surface-level ideas.
āœ”ļø Some episodes are informative, others spark deep reflection, and a few are even controversial, which makes them so engaging!
āœ”ļø Most importantly, the topics feel relevant to what’s happening in our world today, offering fresh perspectives on mental health, personal growth, resilience, relationships, and navigating life’s challenges.

If you’re looking for something that challenges your thinking and inspires meaningful conversations, this podcast is worth adding to your playlist!

šŸ’” Current episode I’m listening to:
Atheist vs Christian vs Spiritual Thinker
