Tintagel has always been dragons for me (well Merlin too but he's a dragon so...) but I knew the area couldn't be SUCH as sacred area for me without phoenixes being around too.

Today the penny dropped (ie the phoenixes sent me a sign even I couldn't ignore...see photo)

They are at St Necton's Glen.

Enough said.

It has been a very long time since last "Mage Musings" but I'm here at my power base/spiritual home Tintagel, sitting above the gateway to Merlin's home (aka the castle) and having a chat with him, my original teacher.

Whilst the words he shared with me talk about "I", we hope they resonate with many as they are a call to community just as much as a call to your own power.

I love the sense of humour of Gods and Goddesses. Today's example comes from Iðunn, the norse goddess of spring (and after whom my youngest kit is named).

She prompted me to say the following words as I was letting go of old habits and hurts and welcoming new beginnings as part of my Ostara rituals:

"Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered, I have fought my way here...to take back the child you have stolen. For my will is a strong as yours, and my kingdom is as great. You have no power over me"

It was awesome. Not because it's one of my favourite quotes from my favourite film and not because it truly resonated with my current journey. It was awesome because she energetically nudged me with her elbow and clearly said "and what are you CURRENTLY doing? Huh? Huh?"

I was walking the LABYRINTH on St Catherine's hill. Her chuckle was very loud. 😂

I am BEYOND excited. After a truly transformative week away on retreat, I have taken the plunge and launched my new blog!!!

The Bob Blog is a weekly exploration of what I think it means to be a human in this weird and wonderful world.

It is a true mix of inputs from my mind, heart, body, soul and spirit.

It does not seek to give advice or solutions but a simple offering of friendship and community through shared experiences.
