Yesterday we celebrated Champagne day at Moorhill. We enjoyed tasting Champagne and trying it with a variety of different juices and fruits to make some lovely cocktails. The room was filled with love and laughter as we listened to hits from the 60s and sang and danced throughout the afternoon. We even had a visit from a beautiful dog called Bruno. 🥳🥂🍾🩵

Christmas Wreath Making Workshop
We are delighted to have the opportunity to offer a Christmas Wreath Making Workshop led by the amazing Jack from Dig for Dementia Dementia.
For the 1 hour long session you will be instructed by Jack to produce a beautiful Christmas wreath you can be proud to display in your own home or gift to a friend or loved one.
All equipment and materials will be provided for and you will also receive free tea/coffee and cake during the workshop.
The workshop will be held at Moorhill Care Home in our top floor lounge overlooking Telegraph Woods and will be £15 per person. Start time will be at 1.30pm on Wednesday 4th December (arrive by 1.15pm).
Spaces are limited to 10 people so book early.

SOLD OUT! Full House at Moorhill Care Home yesterday in our cinema for our Musical Sing-a-long. It was lovely to see so many people come and join us. Southampton Living Well it was great to have you with us 😀

Thank you to Lin, Nigel, Lisette and Nigel from the West End Local History Society for all their support they have given to Moorhill Care Home from the start. Nigel recently provided an amazing talk on the history of West End to our residents and visitors in our cinema room. We were so pleased to be able to make a small donation to help keep the amazing work going.

Earlier this month we had the pleasure of hosting Russell Prince-Wright and Barry Du-Crow from the Telegraph Woods Nature Recovery Group who provided a fascinating presentation on the history and life of Telegraph woods. It was standing room only at Moorhill at our Tea at 2 event last week. It was great to see so many lovely people come and join us for tea, coffee and cake. A big "Thank you" goes out to our chef for creating some amazing home made cakes, which went down very well. Looking forward to doing it all again soon.

Moorhill Care Home is proud to be hosting the Alzheimer's Society for a presentation and Q&A event on Tuesday 14th October at 3pm. f
This is an opportunity for family, friends and loved ones of individuals living with dementia hear guidance, information and advice. Attendees will be able to hear professional advice and also have the chance to ask questions that may be specific to their needs and experiences.
