Did you know that health visitors are qualified nurses or midwives who are here to help your baby thrive to their full potential?

We support parents and carers during their baby's first 5 years- a critical period of brain development that can affect the rest of their lives.

We monitor growth and development and gently guide you about sleep, safety, oral health, and building a positive relationship with solid food. We observe your special bond and play and support you if you are struggling- with this or anything else.

We work closely with other services to ensure early intervention if needed, and we're here for you if you need evidence-based guidance or support.

There's so much to learn and navigate when you become a parent, and we're proud to support you on your parenting journey.

are offering a free stretch and relaxation exercise class over the next few weeks on Monday evenings in Southend. Babies are welcome to attend 😊.

Mini Marvels is a monthly support group run by the Health Visiting team for parents with a baby in, or who has spent time in, the neonatal unit.

They meet on the 1st Friday of each month. Next month is Christmas theme!

📣 The Hang Out - new in the Local Offer!

We are open all day, every day! Designed as a relaxed welcoming space for children and their adults to hang out.

We believe children need somewhere where they can gently stretch their boundaries, with a wide selection of activities and the reassurance of their adults being close by. Thus gaining confidence, creating new and nurturing existing friendships whilst connecting to the wider community - in a way which feels safe and comfortable.

The Lighthouse and JIGSAW team are hosting a series of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) pre and post-diagnosis support group sessions.
These sessions take place in Southend-on-Sea and surrounding areas with a range of partners and community groups.

You are welcome to attend whether your child has received a diagnosis of ASC or ADHD, or has not yet received a diagnosis.
