When you’ve been experiencing anxiety for a number of years it can be difficult to see how your life has been defined by it. We can start to justify saying no to social engagements, job promotions or anything that makes us feel uncomfortable. Whilst anxiety is exhausting to live with it can feel easier to live with it rather than the unknown discomfort of tackling it.

But what would you be doing if you weren’t carrying that heavy burden of anxiety? What would you be saying yes to? What would you be experiencing? Who would you be spending time with? What would you be doing?

Who could you be?... What could you achieve?...

Let’s inspire each other. Drop in the comments something you’d love to do that doesn’t seem possible right night now.

So, 2026 didn’t exactly start with a bang! It was more of a gentle ease into the New Year, but I’m incredibly grateful to have been able to give myself a slower start. Health anxiety is a tough one to deal with, as we often take our health for granted until it’s compromised. Health anxiety is often caused by our brain trying to fill in what we don’t know, and of course, catastrophising – overthinking the worst possible scenarios. Being diagnosed with hypothyroidism and prescribed treatment gave me an immense sense of relief! Of course, I’m not pleased to find out I have a chronic condition, but what I do have is an answer and a plan to feel better.

What’s helped me immensely over the last few months is my training as a solution-focused hypnotherapist. Understanding why my brain was making me feel anxious, and more importantly, what I needed to do to regain control, made the process much easier to deal with.

This year, I’ve also been working with a number of new clients who really leaned into the process of solution-focused hypnotherapy and have made phenomenal progress in a relatively short time.

I absolutely love supporting people to regain control of their anxious brains, feel calmer and more confident. Planning to fill the rest of 2026 with doing just that 🥰

When people come to see me for support with anxiety they’ve often been experiencing it for a long time. Some say they thought it would disappear if they ignored it. Whilst others didn’t believe anything could help them and it was something they’d have to learn to live with. But what all my clients have in common is that they are ready for change. They’re tired of anxiety dictating where they go, who they see, what they do.

They want to regain control and solution-focused hypnotherapy is a gentle yet effective form of therapy that can help them do just that.

We work faster than some other therapies, and so within just weeks, clients report feeling happier, calmer and more confident.

If you’ve spent January wondering whether now’s the time to seek support, then don’t let another month go by where anxiety is controlling your life.

Take the first step towards regaining control by booking a free initial consultation to learn how solution-focused hypnotherapy could help you. DM me for the link to book.

I'm not sure I would have believed you in 2016 that I'd have such a fulfilling career in my future. I love being able to help people the way a solution-focused hypnotherapist once helped my daughter 🥰

What's the biggest thing that's changed for you in the last 10 years?...

Will I ever feel completely happy with a camera in my face!?! Probably not. 😂 But that’s not the point of this post.

I know what it’s like to believe that the anxiety either you or your child is feeling is a phase; something that will pass if you just try and ignore it. The problem is, that often means that we avoid doing things that cause us to feel anxious, meaning that our world gets smaller and our fears get bigger.

When clients first come to me they’re often relieved to realise that what they’re feeling is completely normal. Our brain is doing exactly what it’s meant to do which is protect us. Unfortunately, sometimes it goes into overdrive. Encouraging us to be frightened when there’s no danger.

As a solution-focused hypnotherapist, after just a few weeks clients tell me how much calmer and more confident they feel, doing things they thought they’d never be able to do. For many, their only regret is letting anxiety hold them back and waiting too long to seek support.

If you’re ready to accept support in managing your anxiety in 2026 then use the link in my bio to book a free of charge initial consultation or DM me the word SUPPORT.

If you want 2026 to be the year you regain control of your anxiety and start living a calmer and more confident life then we should chat 🥰

Are there places and activities that make you feel anxious? Perhaps the thought of meeting friends in a busy coffee shop makes your stomach churn? Or driving somewhere new makes your palms sweaty and your heart beat faster?

So you cancel plans and find excuses not make new ones! 🤷‍♀️

Avoiding those things that make us feel anxious only tells our brain it was right to feel scared. We cancelled plans and we survived! So the next time we have plans our brain is going to urge us to cancel them again in order to feel safe.

Our brains need evidence that we CAN survive these things. 🧠

So start small. What’s one small thing you want to do, even if it feels uncomfortable? 🤔

Is anxiety dictating how you live your life, telling you what you can or can’t do ? 😩

You may have tried therapy but you still feel anxious. It’s common for people to blame themselves when the truth is, it just wasn’t the right therapy for them.

Solution-focused hypnotherapy is a gentle yet effective form of therapy, grounded in neuroscience, that can help people regain control.

Drop a 😩 in the comments below if you’ve ever felt you ‘failed’ at therapy.

The lady I’m referring to regarding “Slowanuary” was Selina Barker, creator of the Goodbye 2025, Hello 2026 journals, which I highly recommend! x
