All our mums had a relaxing pamper session or enjoyed their lovely flowers and some special visits on Mothering Sunday. The staff also received some lovely chocolate treats. They certainly didn’t last long! Happy Mother’s Day. Whilst we should maybe have been crafting for St Patricks Day we really wanted to make some cute little chicks for Easter. We also made some Easter bunnies by drawing round our hands.❤️💐💐🐥🐣🐤

Busy one again this week, starting off with a trip out to Asycoughee Hall. We’ve made some bagpipes, some chocolate chip shortbread, had a sing a long and made some paper tulips in preparation for Mothers Day.

We had some interesting discussions on International Women’s Day and Commonwealth Day and made posters to put up around Beech Lodge. We had a double dose of pet therapy. We had some snuggles in the warm then went for a dog walk to see a neighbour’s friendly horse. We didn’t want Ginger to feel left out so made him an interactive cat toy.🍪😽🐴🐎

Our lovely residents have been making some delightful paper roses and to mark St David’s Day we picked ourselves some daffodils . We had an excellent scone production line going with Dave and Richard on buttering , Susan on jam and Maureen on cream and assembly. We got outside and finished the overdue planting of the rest of the spring bulbs and started off some seedlings. We reminisced with John when he told us about the most beautiful girl in the world. And last but not least we celebrated our fabulous Dave’s birthday with all of his family. Happy birthday Dave

We’ve been getting some exercise and enjoying the fresh air on walk your dog day and relaxing with mocktails having made margaritas and our own concoction we called Beech Bellini. We celebrated our lovely Alan’s birthday. We missed Jill for real bread week and cheated a little and made banana bread instead. We took a trip down memory lane on Read a Fairytale Day and read some of our favourite fairytales as well as some Dr Seuss.🐶🐶🐕🐕‍🦺🦮🍞🥖

We’ve had the usual busy week here at Beech Lodge. We had a special trip out for Maureen and Derek, and enjoyed a bit of retail therapy and a scone! We’ve also played some of our favourite games, tried some music and movement, made some raspberry ripple choc bars, and decorated a cake for “cake for carers day”. We finished the week off with a visit from Curolincs, probably our favourite activity of the year so far.
So big thanks to CuroLincs who brought Aurora bunny and Bertie, Fluffy and Thomas the chihuahuas to see us today. Our residents(and staff) really enjoyed all the cuddles and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to talk about their own pets 💕

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed celebrating Valentine’s Day at beech lodge today. We had music from Vinny, red roses, loads of amazing visitors and the most fantastic Valentines tea made for us by Madeline our chef manager and Joe, her very able assistant. Thank you so much to everyone who came to join us, we hope you enjoyed the afternoon as much as we enjoyed hosting it. ❤️❤️💐💐💋

We’ve been busy for love and kindness month here at beech lodge. We’ve been making wool wrap hearts, valentine cards and reading poems of love and kindness as well as preparing for our upcoming valentines bake and bubbles. We’ve made homemade broccoli cheddar soup and some delicious tortilla pizzas. Everyone enjoyed making some sock teddies and octopuses. Jean and Dave did some window shopping at the garden centre and we found some interesting little curios in the antique shop as well as having the obligatory cuppa and cake. We also celebrated our lovely Jack’s birthday with some strawberries and cream cake . Happy birthday Jack❤️🎉🫖☕️🍩🍪
