Bathroom update to a property in Rock!

We transformed the layout by repositioning the toilet and basin, creating space for a larger, more luxurious shower enclosure. We also installed electric underfloor heating—no more cold tiles underfoot

There was a surprise for us when we lifted the old floorboards, the previous builder obviously didn’t want got pay to remove his rubbish so just chucked it under the floor!! There was a leak on the existing shower creating damp conditions and as you can see by the photos it was full of the dreaded black mould!!!

Thankfully, we were able to strip it all out and restore the space safely.

Not every building company offers the service we do — and the results prove it.

Want to take out a structual wall?

We specialise in propping up floors, removing structural walls, and installing steel beams (RSJs). We work closely with a structural engineer and ensure all work is carried out in line with Cornwall Council’s approval and building regulations.

Here, we’ve taken the load from above and installed a goalpost steel frame to open up the lounge, creating a bright, open-plan living space exactly as the customer wanted.

Adding a RSJ to take the load of the floors above and enable us to remove the wall.

Due to the wall being a structual wall used the Structal engineer we work alongside for the RSJ calculations.

We also dealt with the Cornwall building control to ensure the job was completed correctly.
