My yoga classes focus mainly on reintergrating primitive reflexes. But what are they? 🤔
Primitive reflexes are automatic movements that help an infant develop muscle tone, head control, and sensory integration.
They are intended to disappear as the brain matures, allowing for more voluntary movements.

Retained primitive reflexes in adults can lead to a range of issues like poor coordination, balance, and posture, as well as emotional and behavioral challenges such as anxiety and difficulty with focus. These persistent reflexes suggest that the brain's development of higher-level motor control may not have progressed typically.

Last nights full Halloween Yoga session so so much fun! We had Tarot, Runes, invocations and incantations folowed by a Moon Salutation.

We even managed some spooky themed yoga poses! We were Frogs, Spiders, Zombies, Warewolves, Witches on Brooms and we stirred the couldron!

The class ended with a short Nidra and the whole thing was done in candle and fairy light!

We are doing it all again in Sunday evening. Spaces are very limited so get booking!

Our Story

Mini Me Yoga is dedicated to bringing fun into the lives of children by empowering grown-ups to share our 15 Minutes to Happy, Healthy Kids program. Our mission is to bring JOY into children’s lives. Our 15 Minutes to Happy, Healthy Kids program is taught to parents, teachers and childcare providers via a 2 hr workshop, e learning or book. We teach them what kid’s yoga and positive thinking are all about. Participants in the Mini Me Yoga 2-Hour Workshop walk away with our 15-minutes to happy, healthy kids program they can start using right away in the classroom or the home. Plus each participant receives a pack of Magick Yoga Cards which have 14 poses as well as positive words to help the grownups share yoga with their children easily. We are currently translating our cards and program materials into Spanish, Portuguese, Irish and French. We have added to our 15 Minutes to Happy, Healthy Kids program, and created an intermediate level (Explorers Club) so the earning never stops …

We have now added a Games Workshop, Meditation Workshop, Parent and Child Workshop and Tweenies Workshop (ages 8-14).

We also run Kids Yoga classes throughout the Staffordshire and Derbyshire area. Studies have found that kids yoga helps them learn how to release stress, retain more information, and increase confidence and happiness, among other benefits. Positive thinking techniques increase a child’s awareness of the power of their own thoughts and give them access to being the author of their own life.
