Reiki is a natural system of energy healing it is non religious and not a faith system. The practitioner runs Reiki Energy while placing their hands on or over a series of locations on the recipient’s body. Distant techniques are usually taught at the second degree level however you will be taught a simplified distant healing during this course today. The process of doing Reiki treatment is thought of as "laying on of hands" or "spiritual healing" and is considered to be a metaphysical phenomenon. Reiki also has elements based on the traditions of Asian medicine and martial arts which have given rise to acupuncture, chi gong, tai chi and similar practices. Reiki is related to some practices of Chinese Medicine, Qi gong and other Holistic Medicine and modes. Reiki is somewhat of a fusion of spiritual healing and some traditional Asian medical, spiritual and health practices. The hand placements correspond to some of those points used in acupuncture and other practices but no needles, pressure or massage is used. Reiki flows through the practitioner but is not generated by the practitioner and does not deplete the Reiki practitioners own energy supplies. Advanced practitioners can do treatments without physical contact.

The First Degree or Reiki I course on Friday 4th March
The First Degree is primarily for the you and your own self healing so you can treat yourself, it brings the healing power of balance and harmony into all areas of your life. The first Degree also teaches methods of treating friends, family and pets. The training includes;
*Attunements – the passing of energy from the initiating Master to the student to balance and ‘fine tune’ you to enable you to channel Reiki yourself.
* The history of Reiki and information.
* The five principles of Reiki
* What Reiki is and how it works
* How Reiki can be used
* Explanation and instruction on hand positions for treatments.
* Instruction for self treatments and the benefits.
* Time for questions and answers
* Information booklet that covers all information taught in the course
* Reiki I certificate This is a one day course £150 inc lunch and refreshments

Stafford Reiki My Story

I am a Reiki Master/Teacher and have been successfully treating people for nearly 20 years. Initially I was trained in Bristol through The Pegasus Centre in 2000. I spent several years learning, developing and experiencing my craft before becoming a Reiki Master/ Teacher in 2005, from a direct Japanese lineage of Reiki masters ‘Satya Japanese Reiki’ (normally Reiki lineage is through Hawaii and Takata)

Over the years with Reiki I have treated people in many places and circumstances from cancer hospice in Bristol, healing centre in India, Well Woman clinics in Thailand, AIDs sufferers in Cambodia, Sri Lanka tsunami survivors, drug and rehabilitation clinics. Helping people with stress, depression, mental and physical pain, long term issues and ongoing illnesses
