And so, it began “Deck the Halls” has been a busy time for staff and residents. We all had a fantastic time putting up all our decorations and especially decorating all our trees across all communities in the home. Residents enjoyed reminiscing about when they were children and the excitement of their own children, when the Christmas tree came out to decorate.

Oh Oh Oh what a photograph, Margaret had a visit today with Margaret, they both joined everyone in our bistro for a Christmas sing a long, whilst enjoying a coffee and a slice of homemade Iced Christmas cake. We captured this beautiful picture of them before Margaret left, taken in our reception. Making Memories.

Carpet Bowls has fast become one of resident’s favourite games. This low-impact game promotes physical activity and offers social and mental benefits; this game relies on skill rather than physical strength making it an inclusive game that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and physical abilities including residents who use wheelchairs and mobility chairs, whilst been fun and very competitive.

Remembrance Day can always be an emotional time for residents; It is difficult for some residents to attend a church or visit a cenotaph to pay their respects, so we invited Hillary from St James church along with her daughter
to hold a Church Service for us, Residents, staff, and family visitors sang along to hymns and enjoyed the sermon along with prayers.
Everyone who attended said it was a lovely service. We then enjoyed a wartime sing a long, with residents smiling, singing, and reminiscing with each other.
