This week’s profile is of BC. B is working hard in the gym and the swimming pool at the moment and his fitness is improving. He works as a waiter at our Thursday cafe, serving customers with his characteristic friendly manner. He’s not so keen on serving cakes! He is one of our best bread-makers, kneading the dough with skill every Friday and has just started to deliver bread and cakes to customers in the afternoon. B loves music and is a shining light at the weekly Sounds Joyful group and in our own hand chimes group. His confidence has blossomed since going there and he now gets up and dances with no persuasion needed! The same is true at the Crispin Hall disco which most of our members attend once a month.

This week’s profile is of RB, who records his own radio programme at GWS Radio every Friday for broadcast on a Saturday morning 10.00-11.00am on 107.1 FM. He would love it if you listened. Tomorrow’s show includes some spooky tunes for Halloween!

As well as being a volunteer DJ, R works with an alpaca herd, takes part in our Mowability micro- enterprise, delivers bread for Bakeabilty, works out at the gym, cooks lunch for the group on a Wednesday, sets up for our Thursday cafe and this week has been trying his hands at Christmas crafts. Multi- talented indeed!

It’s time for your bread orders!

Please note we are no longer making Chelsea buns on a Friday because of the small size of the order. However we always have a whole batch fresh out of the oven at our Tuesday Cafe in Bawdrip, so you can pick some up from there ( Parish Hall, 12-2.30).

Loaves: large white, wholemeal, granary or olive £2.00, small £1.00; large cheese, cheese/bacon, cheese/onion, spiced fruit or walnut £3.00, small £1.50 or ask for any other flavours wanted.

Order in the comments below or email bread.steppingout@gmail.com ( please do get in touch if I don’t reply to your email as sometimes they float off into cyberspace)

Bread delivery is on Fridays between 1.30-2.45 to all the Polden villages or you can collect from Cossington Village Hall at the same time.
Thank you from the Stepping Out team!
