Meet the team.

R A Medical Services are a family based Company started by Janet & Chris Pickles in the early 90’s, following Chris’s redundancy from Ohmeda during the final days of that Company’s presence in Steeton. Taking the extensive experience and knowledge base dating from the Cyprane years, they steadily built up a large customer base of NHS Trusts and High Street.

Although Chris is now semi retired he is always on hand to help and support the engineering team.

Janet is passionate about encouraging education within dental sedation. Often present at dental conferences, writing articles, or running study and training days.

RA2017 - Pack of 4 Bodok Seals

5066 - Pack of 3 inner liner flappers valves - (If using the Porter Brown double mask). Always check to see if these are in place and in tact on the liner.

With the BSPD conference in a few weeks, we are looking back at previous BSP conferences that Janet and Chris have attended over the years.

First up 2003 Bristol , second 2013, third 2016 and finally Janet and Chris with CDO Sarah Hurley.

An example of the Miniscav active scavenging unit installed with the vent behind cabinetry.

Where it is not possible to utilise the high volume port on chairside suction the Miniscav Active Scavenger offers a alternative solution.

The unit is pre set to draw waste gasses at 45 l/min. Requires a 16mm hole through an external wall and can be moved into different surgeries providing a extra exit vent is in place.

The Miniscav combined with a active draw breathing system provide safe and efficient scavenging.

BSPD conference Sheffield 2022

RA Medical Services will be attending the first face to face BSPD Conference since 2019 in Birmingham.

Held at Cutlers Hall, Sheffield, they will be present over the two days 15th – 16th September with a comprehensive display of sedation equipment and sundry items.

It was at the meeting held in Bristol 2003 that we were first approached to sponsor the Clinical Case Prize and have done so ever since, making 2022 the 20th continuous Year of support. Something we have been pleased to do so.

Our team look forward to the Sheffield meeting – with old faces and new!
