🎄 Appeal for Christmas Decorations 🎄

Hi everyone!
We’re starting to get Woodlands View Care Home ready for Christmas, and we’d love your help to make it extra magical for our residents ✨

If anyone has spare Christmas decorations—baubles, tinsel, lights, small trees, ornaments, anything in good condition—we would be so grateful for your donations.

Every little helps and will make such a difference in bringing some festive cheer to the home 🎅❤️

If you’d like to donate, please drop items off at Woodlands View Care Home or message me and I can arrange to collect.

Thank you so much! 🌟

We had another fantastic turnout at our joint Social Club with Blossoms Health Care Solutions! Held on the last Thursday of every month, each gathering has a fun theme and November’s was Bingo and Toffee Apple Making. 🎉

It was wonderful to see our residents and members of the local community joining in. The social club continues to grow each month, helping to build new friendships and connections both within Woodlands View and across the wider community. One of our lovely guests even won a Bingo prize and shared how much they enjoyed the morning!

Everyone had great fun making toffee apples, playing Bingo, and chatting over tea, coffee, and biscuits.

A huge thank you to the Blossoms Health Care Solutions team, our Woodlands View colleagues, our amazing residents, and our supportive local community for making this event such a warm, friendly, and memorable one each month. 💜

The residents of Woodlands View Care Home enjoyed a fantastic visit to Stevenage Football Club, where they were given a special behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium!
With many Stevenage supporters in our home, excitement levels were high. Melissa, the club’s Community Engagement Manager, shared fascinating stories about the club, and residents loved sitting in the stands imagining the match-day atmosphere.
Terry, one of our residents, said the visit brought back wonderful memories of watching Stevenage vs Newcastle in 1998 , one of the best days of his life.
A huge thank you to Stevenage FC, to Melissa for organising such a memorable experience, and to our amazing Wellbeing Team for supporting residents throughout the day. So many smiles and special moments! ⚽❤️

Our residents and team came together to celebrate Black History Month with a day full of colour, culture, and community spirit. Staff and residents proudly wore traditional and cultural clothing representing their heritage, while our Wellbeing Team hosted a fun quiz highlighting influential Black figures who’ve shaped history. ✨

A huge thank-you to our incredible chefs, who prepared a delicious Caribbean-inspired menu — featuring Caribbean mince and dumplings, West African stew, and Caribbean spiced banana cake – all bursting with flavour and enjoyed by everyone! 🍛🍰

It was a wonderful day of learning, sharing, and celebrating the diversity that makes our community so special. 💜

A wonderful morning at Woodlands View! 🎨☕

Woodlands View and Blossoms Health Care Solutions recently hosted their second Coffee Morning and Social Club — and it was a huge success! 💜

It was heartwarming to see residents and members of the Stevenage community come together to paint pumpkins, enjoy arts and crafts, and share plenty of laughter along the way.

Guests were treated to a delicious spread of homemade cupcakes, lemon drizzle cake, and fruit sponge, all freshly baked onsite by our amazing chefs. 🍰✨

Events like these remind us just how special community, creativity, and togetherness can be. 💕

A big thank-you to our Wellbeing Team, Lauren from Blossoms Health Care Solutions, our dedicated care team and kitchen staff, and of course, the wonderful Stevenage community for making the day so memorable.

Our monthly Relatives Meeting at Woodlands View, led by Elena Chelea, provides a welcoming space for families to share feedback, suggest improvements, and connect with one another.

This month's meeting was particularly touching. One resident's wife shared: "Woodlands View saved my husband's and my life." She explained how her husband's declining mental health had deeply affected her, and expressed profound gratitude for the exceptional care our team provides.
She told us that Woodlands View gave her husband a new quality of life and gave her peace of mind.
Our kitchen team made the afternoon extra special with freshly baked biscuits served alongside tea and coffee, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
A heartfelt thank you to all the families, friends, and loved ones who regularly attend our Relatives Meetings. Your presence, feedback, and support truly make a difference to our community.🧡🧡🧡
