It may have been a very rainy week, but that hasn’t stopped us from getting out and about! ☔️✨

Residents at Twyford House Care Home enjoyed the most wonderful trip to the World of Wedgwood!

Many of the residents were amazed to discover such a fascinating place right on our doorstep, and the museum’s stories and craftsmanship truly captivated everyone.

At Lovett, we know how important it is to feel part of the wider world, not apart from it. These experiences create memories, open new conversations, and keep life feeling full of adventure.

🌹✨ Corporal Steve James Hosker ✨🌹

What an incredible afternoon last week at Cheadle Manor! We had the honour of welcoming and interviewing CPL Steve “Sparky” Hosker — a truly inspiring guest.

From joining the military at just 17 to serving in both Iraq and Afghanistan, Steve shared his remarkable journey with honesty, warmth, and courage. He spoke about his family’s proud military legacy and the experiences that shaped him throughout his years of service.

The room was filled with emotion — thoughtful questions, quiet moments of reflection, and heartfelt stories from our residents who shared their own memories of wartime and loved ones who served.

It was an afternoon of bravery, connection, and deep gratitude.

Thank you, Steve, for your time, your courage, and your kindness.
You left a lasting impression on us all. ❤️

It was a truly special Remembrance Day at Cheadle Manor, as our residents shared meaningful stories and memories from years gone by. We were also delighted to welcome the lovely Katie, who joined us to sing ❤️

Her heartfelt performance of wartime favourites filled our home with warmth, nostalgia, and deep reflection. The music brought back precious memories and created a beautiful space for remembrance and gratitude.

Forever grateful for the bravery, love, and sacrifice of all who served. ❤️

Ruddington Manor entered a competition with Myley after sharing that one of their residents had a helicopter ride on their bucket list.

This Wednesday, we brought the vibrant colours, rhythm and joyful energy of Bollywood dancing into our home at Cheadle Manor! 💃🕺

Our residents loved learning new moves, listening to lively music, and embracing a touch of Bollywood sparkle. ✨

There were plenty of smiles, bursts of laughter, and even a few surprise dance stars shining on the floor! 🌟

A wonderful afternoon filled with joy, movement and shared moments.

💥 Wellbeing Wednesday 💥

Calendar invites, diary notes, post-it reminders everywhere… sometimes we all need a few healthy nudges to look after ourselves:

Life really does keep “life-ing,” but it’s important to pause, have a cuppa, and take a moment away from all the noise.

So this Wellbeing Wednesday, we did just that.
We sat, we had a brew, we chatted, and we stopped — just for five minutes. But it helped. It eased the noise and reset us back to doing what we do best.

🌼🩵 Dementia Friendly Lunch! 🩵🌼

We’re so excited to share that Cheadle Manor has partnered with The Red Lion, Cheadle to launch our very own monthly Dementia Friendly Lunch — a welcoming space where everyone can enjoy good food, great company, and plenty of smiles outside of home. 💛

This week’s menu was a real treat — hearty beef stew and mash, followed by a delicious fruit crumble with custard for dessert. 🍽️✨

The afternoon was filled with laughter, conversation, and new friendships — exactly what this initiative is all about! 🤝💬

It’s been a little while in the making, and after such a successful first visit, we can’t wait to keep the momentum going and welcome even more members of our community next time. 💕

Residents from Cheadle Manor had a truly memorable day out at Bridgewater Hall, enjoying a heartwarming concert filled with beautiful melodies and, of course, a generous helping of delicious scones! 🎵☕🥰

We were especially delighted to share the experience with our lovely friends from our sister home, Bramhall Manor Care Centre — making the day even more special. From music and laughter to tea and friendship, it was an afternoon to remember! 💕✨
