Impact on Teesside encompasses Teesside's NHS Talking Therapies service alongside Mental Health Recovery support and Recovery College. The service can support individuals aged 16 and over who are registered with a Teesside GP. We offer a range of talking therapies for depression and anxiety disorders as well as advice and support to help cope with mental health and life challenges. Kate and Jane have been out and about , providing advice and raising awareness about our menopause support services at Cleveland Fire Brigade UK Cleveland Fire Brigade and Hartlepool and Stockton Health.

They’ve been helping people understand the changes that come with menopause, offering guidance, support, and resources to make this transition easier. It’s all about ensuring everyone has access to the right information and feels supported every step of the way.

On Friday evening, several of our colleagues proudly represented Impact on Teesside at the Tees Valley EDI Awards, where we were finalists for Social Impact Business of the Year.

The award itself went to Daisy Chain, congratulations to them, but being shortlisted reminds us how proud we are of our journey so far, and how motivated we are to keep building on this work.

Impact on Teesside is a partnership between Alliance Psychological Services and Teesside Mind, and in recent years, we’ve:
✨ Launched our own EDI Commitment - https://www.alliancepsychology.com/edi-commitment/
✨ Delivered EDI and cultural diversity training for colleagues
✨ Celebrated cultural events such as Ramadan with lunch & learn sessions
✨ Reached out to our local community through initiatives like Afroking Barbers and the Asylum Seekers Bi-Monthly Forum
✨ Reviewed and developed client resources to make sure they are clear, accessible and effective

Looking ahead, we’re eager to strengthen links with religious groups and engage with different faith communities to raise awareness of the mental health support we can offer.
