πŸŽͺ THE GREAT HOMEOPATHY EXPERIMENT: What happened when sceptics tried it

"I'll prove homeopathy doesn't work!" Famous last words from people who became our biggest advocates...

πŸ˜‚ Here's what happens when sceptics put their money where their mouth is:
Dr. Robert Hahn, an emergency physician, set out to debunk homeopathy for a medical journal. After rigorous investigation, he became a qualified homeopath himself. Oops! 🩺

Journalist Dana Ullman started researching homeopathy to write a critical article. Thirty years later, he's written multiple books defending it. Plot twist! πŸ“š

The pattern repeats constantly: investigate to criticise, end up convinced by the evidence. There's something powerful about direct experience versus theoretical objections.

Even our patients often start sceptical. "My wife dragged me here, I don't believe in this stuff..." Six months later, they're recommending us to friends! πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

The beautiful thing about homeopathy is it doesn't require belief to work. Scepticism is fine - results speak louder than opinions anyway.

Ready to conduct your own experiment? The only way to truly know is to try it yourself. πŸ§ͺ

I'm reading lots today regarding President Trump and that πŸ’‰ and Tylenol (paracetamol/calpol) can cause autism when taken during pregnancy.

There are people who will be triggered by these claims, and also people that will be breathing a sigh of relief that somebody is finally acknowledging their children's πŸ’‰ injuries.

While there is no definitive answer to this debate, it is worth noting that paracetamol does deplete glutathione levels in the body and protects from oxidative stress.
Glutathione plays a crucial role in detoxifying the body of harmful free radicals such as heavy metals and supports the healing process. So, for autistic people, who often have a high level of heavy metals and struggle to detox, depleting glutathione is not likely to have a positive effect.

I would never tell anyone not to ever use paracetamol/calpol, as I even have some in my own cupboard as a "just in case". Although I can't remember the last time I used it...it usually just gets thrown away when it goes out of date. But if you need it as a backup and it makes you feel more confident, then have it in your cupboard.

However, we need to re-learn that symptoms and a fever are not a bad thing...it's the body’s process of healing itself and letting you know what's happening. When you suppress a fever, for example, you are hindering the healing process, likely resulting in more chronic issues later on.

So, what do I use instead of paracetamol?

Homeopathic remedies!

Homeopathy helps to ease uncomfortable symptoms & reduce the longevity of the illness while supporting the body back to balance and dealing with the root cause of the issue. There are no long-term side effects that you will need to address later down the line, with no suppression of symptoms.
If you are looking for an alternative to paracetamol, why not give homeopathy a try?

I've been a bit quiet on here recently. Life has been a bit mad with the summer holidays, childcare, and running two businesses. I haven't known whether I'm coming or going, but we've managed to squeeze in two festivals, and now I'm back to a little more quiet and a few weeks of work before I'm off again for the last week in August.
I just wanted to pop on and say hi πŸ‘‹ I'm still here, but I'm busy taking cases and being with my kids, so I haven't had much time for social media.
I have a couple of appointments left this month, but they are very limited, so drop me an email if you want to book in:

Running a business as an introvert is tricky.

I went to a lovely networking event today with the lovely ladies at Something I always get super nervous and socially awkward about, but nevertheless, I try to push myself out of my comfort zone every now and again. It wasn't a massive group, which made me feel at ease, and I didn't get overwhelmed like I have done at other networking events in the past.
I'm not the bubbly person in the room, or the one that will go around introducing myself, or a salesperson of any kind. But that's ok.

I'm the person who quietly sits in the corner and listens and takes everything in. Not everybody wants a lively person who will talk your ear off, but as an introvert, those people make it so much easier for me to just quietly be me.
To be a homeopath, you need to be a good listener & observer, and you need to be non-judgemental, and that's what I am best at. I bring a different kind of energy - a quieter, deeper kind.
I listen and speak with intention.
I'm thoughtful, not impulsive, which comes in handy when choosing remedies and working on a case.
I know when to pause, reflect, and re-charge, and I consistently show up as my true, authentic self, even when I feel that people might not get me.
I bring a calmness to the room, which can help to put people at ease, but I will never be called the bubbly, friendly one that can talk to anyone. But that doesn't matter because I have different, less obvious qualities that make me the right person for my clients who resonate with me.

And I think the card was spot on! I am definitely a control freak! πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚

Had some lovely feedback from a client that I haven't seen for a little while recently.
It's great to hear that the reason they haven't been for a while is because they haven't needed it πŸ’š

I had an appointment with a new client last week, and she sent me an email after to say how grateful she was to just have somebody listen to her and actually care.
We are so used to a system that gives less than 10 minutes for an appointment and doesn't take any mental/emotional symptoms or causes into consideration that we've forgotten what it feels like to actually be heard!
Having somebody give you the space to offload and tell your story is the first part to healing and can leave you feeling better before even taking any remedies ❀️

Interesting read from The Collective Evolution. Around 80% of our immune system is in the gut. Most illnesses can be helped/prevented by looking after the gut, and this is where nutrition and homeopathy; specifically homeopathic bowel nosodes, can really play their role to create a healthy microbiome. Things like antibiotics can strip the gut of the good bacteria as well as the bad, causing more damage down the line if it isn't replenished properly.
Eating more whole foods, less processed foods, and using homeopathy will help to avoid these complications later on.
A holistic approach is always best. We aren't separated into separate, singular parts...it's all connected πŸ’š

Last night our cat brought home this hamster, which we luckily managed to rescue before any harm was done, but she was clearly, physically shaking. I put a small bowl of water in a box with her, and put some Aconite 30c in there, to help with the shock and called somebody who we know, that rescues hamsters & rats etc.
By the time she got to us, she commented on how surprised she was that the hamster didn't seem very frightened at all, considering her ordeal and being mauled by a cat. She was actually quite calm and happily chomping away on a carrot.

Aconite for Fear & Shock

Aconite (Aconitum napellus) is a remedy used for sudden fear, intense anxiety, and emotional shock. It’s particularly useful when symptoms come on rapidly after a traumatic event β€” whether it’s a frightening experience, an accident, or even a sudden illness.

When might Aconite be indicated?

After an accident, even if there are no physical injuries, but the person remains deeply shaken.

Following a sudden fright, like a near-miss or a natural disaster.

During panic attacks that strike suddenly, often with symptoms like a racing heart, dry mouth, and a strong sense of doom.

For children (and adults) who wake from nightmares in a state of terror.

Key emotional symptoms include:

Sudden, intense fear or panic

Restlessness and agitation

Fear of death or something terrible happening

Oversensitivity to their surroundings

Dosage and Use
In acute situations, a low potency of 30C can be taken every 15–30 minutes for up to a few doses, then less frequently and stop as symptoms improve. As always, consult a homeopath for guidance if symptoms are severe or persistent.

Aconite is calming for the system, when emotional shock hits hard and fast.
