Sadly, I won't be there tomorrow due to my bloods and still being neutropenic...but my Dad and Brother (Hurricane Hazza) will be there smashing it even in the rain! Wont be long and I will be back refing the games again

We’re incredibly excited to share something very close to our hearts.

As many of you know, Sammy (Slammin’ Sam B) is a young rugby fanatic who’s currently fighting Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. While treatment has taken him off the pitch for now, it hasn’t stopped his love for the game or his drive to give back.

We’re launching the Rugby vs Cancer Podcast, where Sammy will be hosting conversations with rugby legends, everyday heroes behind the scenes, and the amazing people supporting children and families fighting cancer.

This is all about using rugby to inspire, raise awareness, and bring hope - one story at a time.

We are so proud that Sam's story has been shared to help promote blood donations.

We are so grateful to everyone who has supported us ❤️

Sammy and his family's world was turned upside down when he was suddenly diagnosed with leukaemia.

He has received blood as part of his treatment, and his mum Nicki shared this message:

“🙏 Thank you to everyone who donates blood, you are amazing.

"A special thank you to whoever donated their blood and saved my son's life tonight. ❤️

This is the reality of what you do.”

This week, the amazing Children’s Oncology Team at Royal Stoke Hospital have gone quackers for a wonderful cause – all in support of The Give A Duck Foundation!

From hook-a-duck and chuck-a-duck games to the most delicious homemade cakes and even a duck race, the ward has been filled with laughter, love, and a whole lot of yellow fluff — all to raise vital funds and awareness for a charity that’s so close to our hearts.

The Give A Duck Foundation provides Chemo Ducks to children diagnosed with cancer and Huggable Hope ducks to their siblings across the UK. These special ducks are more than just cuddly toys – they help children understand and cope with their treatment journey in a comforting, playful way.

Check out our little ducky below! Every duck comes complete with central lines and cannula bandages – and kind-hearted people even hand-make outfits for them! Sam’s sister Charlotte has named hers Quacky and loves playing doctors and nurses. It’s beautiful to see how much comfort and joy these ducks bring to families like ours.

We’re so grateful to the oncology team and to The Give A Duck Foundation for the smiles, support, and sunshine they bring into such tough times.
