Another fun day here at the Abbey celebrating Chinese new year along with Shrove Tuesday. We enjoyed Chinese delicacies, fun interactive games with fortune cookies that our ladies & gentlemen made and to top off the afternoon, homemade pancakes from our chef with a selection of fillings for the residents to chose from 🐴🥠🥢🥞

Thank you to everyone who purchased from our loved ones cake sale. We raised £235 towards our minibus fund which is now standing at an amazing £7220.52 🎉

We are getting closer to getting our very
own minibus to take our lovely residents out and about. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far, this would not be possible without the generosity of you! 🤩🚐

Today at Oulton Abbey, we had a great reason to celebrate due to one of our ladies' Jean reaching the marvellous age of 100. Jean celebrated with receiving a card from the King & Queen. The day continued with staff & family joining in with celebrations and, of course, enjoyed a piece of cake which was kindly made by Mel. Jean said she didn't want a fuss but her only request was to have fish & chips from, as she said the chippy, so that's what she had, curtesy free of charge from the team at Walton fish bar! Jean thoroughly enjoyed them, and of course, no fish and chips should be served without a glass of sherry. Many congratulations, Jean, with lots of love from all the staff at Oulton Abbey.
