This morning’s women’s circle felt quietly powerful and very precious to hold.
The women connected so beautifully - sharing their stories and lived experiences with an open-hearted vulnerability and authenticity that created a deep sense of trust in the space. There was such a feeling of being met and witnessed, without needing to fix or explain anything.
The Selkie Skin story opened up some rich and powerful reflections around sovereignty - how we lose parts of ourselves through life, and how we might begin to reclaim our bodies, our voices, and our sense of self.
Everyone surrendered so fully to the guided visualisation, each woman receiving her own symbol - a gift from her inner wisdom rather than something forced or searched for.
We then came back together over a hug in a mug - homemade soup from my own family recipe passed down. This opened up such lovely conversations about food, care, and connection, and how the nurture of those who may no longer be with us still lives on through the recipes they’ve shared.
The space was held by alder branches forming our altar - guardians of the waters, symbolising strength, resilience, and the bridge between past and future. It felt like they were quietly watching over each woman’s story, honouring what has been survived and what continues to grow.
We closed the morning weaving new skins - dreamcatchers made to hold any dreams or visions stirred by tonight’s new moon.
I feel deeply grateful for the trust, openness, and willingness to step into this space and meet yourselves through embodied and creative processes. Thank you for bringing your honesty, your courage, and your presence. 🤍
