I’m a bee keeper and I sell pure honey from my Native British honey bees in my garden. I’m only a micro business so everything is done by hand from spinning the honey to bottling and even popping the labels on.

It’s the start of the autumn honey harvest 2025 oooh it’s tastes so good too. First 50 frames have been spun and the honey is in the settling bucket. Once the bubbles raise to the surface I can pour it into jars ready to sell.

Found a tiny wee bee swarm in a tree in my garden yesterday. So I grabbed my suit and a pair of ladders to go rescue them. I was 5 mins by the time I raced back up the garden they had gone! Not a single bee was left. I was ever so sad!

Today I’d just come back from Ayr and was walking in the house and spotted they’d returned!!! I don’t even know how I spotted them.

So I sprinted this time and managed to get them into a nuc box! They were lovely and gentle and their queen is a right fatty. Shes Perfect!

Welcome to Boos Bees on the west coast of Scotland.

I supply honey and wax products kindly and gently harvested from our apiary. My bees are part of our family, each bee is loved.

They are kept in a beautiful woodland setting, surrounded by the trees and miles of wonderful untouched forage and forests.

I love my bees so much we moved here especially for them, to keep them safe and thriving forever.

Here is one of our queen bees! She longer than the other girls with a little blue tip on her. She’s a native British black bee.

Her hive is so laid back and calm, I sing to my bees so they get used to my voice and presence in our apiary.

I practice gentle bee keeping, yes I treat my hives for disease and pest provention. But I do it in a kind and gentle way.

If a hive wants to be left alone on the day of inspections I leave them and come back the next day. Yes bees get moody, hives have personalities. Some are curious, others are defensive on hot days, each hive is its own world; so I go slowly. I love my bees. 🐝

Look at the different colours of the pollen. There orange, yellow and blue then uncapped honey shimmering the sunshine. It was all very tasty too! Wax, pollen, honey and nectar are all completely edible.
